    • A land/groove track discriminating method and apparatus for an optical recording medium having a land/groove structure which can stably discriminate the kind of a track even in an unstable state of the system. The kind of the track is discriminated by using the differential characteristic of a tracking error signal in a header region, by using the relation that the phase of a wobbling signal in the lang track is opposite to the phase of the wobbling signal in the groove track, or by comparing phase levels of delayed first and second header region signals. Accordingly, the servo control suitable to the kind of the track can be performed at a proper time, and thus an accurate tracking control can be performed with respect to an optical disc having the land/groove track structure.

    • A control method and system for a belt-driven clothes dryer are disclosed. The control system includes a drum containing a load of wet clothes to be dried, a heater heating air flowing into the drum, a motor coupled to the drum by a power transmission system for rotating the drum, and a power supply supplying power to the motor and the heater during a dry operation of the dryer. The control system further includes a moisture sensor outputting a sensor signal during the dry operation, or a photo coupler outputting voltage pulses when the motor is in operation during the dry operation. Then, a microprocessor included in the control system detects a breakage of the power transmission system upon analyzing the sensor signal of the moisture sensor or the voltage pulses generated by the photo coupler. If the microprocessor detects such breakage, it interrupts the dry operation of the clothes dryer.

    • The present invention relates to a method of forming a copper wiring in a semiconductor device. A copper wiring is formed within a damascene pattern. Before a copper anti-diffusion insulating film is formed on the entire structure, a specific metal element is doped into the surface of the copper wiring and the surface of its surrounding insulating film to form a metal element-doping layer. The doped specific metal element reacts with surrounding other elements, due to heat upon depositing the copper anti-diffusion insulating film and a low dielectric constant interlayer insulating film and additional annealing process. For this reason, a copper alloy layer and a metal oxide layer are stacked at the interface of the copper wiring and the copper anti-diffusion insulating film and the metal oxide layer is formed at the interface of the insulating film and the copper anti-diffusion insulating film. The interfacial bondability between the copper anti-diffusion insulating film and each of the copper wiring and the insulating film underlying the insulating film is increased to improve reliability of the wiring.
