    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve electric connectivity with a compact composition.
      SOLUTION: A valve body 20 is mounted with a switch base mounted with a linear solenoid 25, an ON-OFF solenoid 35, and a hydraulic switch 52 and a unit base mounted with an ECU 42 so that a connecter 27 of the linear solenoid 25, a connecter 37 of the ON-OFF solenoid 35, a terminal of the hydraulic switch 52, and a terminal of the ECU 42 can be placed on approximately the same flat surface. The connecters 27, 37 and the terminal of the hydraulic switch 52 are electrically connected to the terminal of the ECU 42 by a printed circuit board 60. That prevents irregularity in heights of the terminals and the connecters and eliminates the necessity for complicating the shape of the printed circuit board 60 while reducing a useless space in the vertical direction, which makes it possible to mount the linear solenoid 25, the ON-OFF solenoid 35, the switch base, and the unit base to the valve body 20 by setting them in the minimum height.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control device for a multiple-speed automatic transmission, wherein a shift by wire can be adopted for the hydraulic control device which performs fail-safe during an all-solenoids-off failure to form a forward travel stage. SOLUTION: The hydraulic control device using normally open type linear solenoid valves SL2, SL3 to form forward travel seven speed stages is simply constructed to change over an original pressure selector valve 34 into a right half position during an all-solenoids-off failure of the solenoid in a D-range, to change over the output condition of a security pressure selector valve 35, to change over the original pressure selector valve into a left half position during the all-solenoids-off failure in a R-range and P-, N-ranges, and to change over the output condition of the security pressure selector valve. Thus, it forms the forward travel seven speed stages to secure travel in the all-solenoids-off failure mode during travel in the forward travel shift stage without causing transfer to the forward travel seven speed stages in the all-solenoids-off failure mode in the R-range and the P-, N-ranges, while reducing the number of valves without using a manual shift valve.
