    • A silver halide photographic light-sensitive materials are described. In silver halide photographic printing paper comprising at least one silver halide photographic emulsion layer applied to a water impermeable reflective base, the printing paper of the present invention is in the improvement wherein said silver halide emulsion layer is spectrally sensitized with at least one cyanine dye represented by general formulae I and II, and an emulsified dispersion or latex dispersion of a water insoluble fluorescent whitening agent contained in a hydrophilic vehicle of at least one layer applied to the base on the same side as said silver halide emulsion layer: ##STR1## wherein Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2 each represents an O atom, --N--R.sub.7 or a S atom, wherein R.sub.7 represents a lower alkyl group, A represents H or a lower alkyl group having 4 or less carbon atoms, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represents --H, --CH.sub.3, --OCH.sub.3, --C.sub.2 H.sub.5, --OC.sub.2 H.sub.5, --CN, --Cl, --F, --CF.sub.3, --COOH, --COOCH.sub.3 or --COOC.sub.2 H.sub.5, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 each represents substituted or non-substituted lower alkyl group, but at least one of R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 is substituted by a sulfo group, and X represents an anionic residue.

    • A speed change device for shifting the gear of a transmission by using a cylindrical drum that reciprocally moves and rotates, featuring the structure of a compact size and excellent operability. To execute the shifting operation, the speed change device of the invention uses a cylindrical drum 4 that reciprocally moves in the axial direction and is rotatably supported. Fork pins FP1 to FP4 coupled to a plurality of forks of the transmission are fitted into drum grooves 41 to 44 formed in the cylindrical surface of the cylindrical drum. In each drum groove, there are formed small width portions of a width nearly equal to that of the fork pin and large width portions wider than the small width portions in a manner that the fork pin positioned at the small width portion is shifted. To shift the gear, the cylindrical drum 4 is rotated by a select motor 6 to select the fork pin positioned at the small width portion. Next, a threaded shaft 1 is rotated by a shift motor 7 to move the cylindrical drum 4 in the axial direction to thereby shift the selected fork pin.

    • A dual clutch transmission having two input shafts respectively connected to clutches, and an intermediate shaft, preventing the intermediate shaft from rotating idle when the vehicle is traveling at high speeds and avoiding excess stirring of lubricating oil in the transmission and increase in noise. In the dual clutch transmission, a direct connection clutch C3 is provided between one input shaft S2 and an output shaft S4, and an intermediate shaft connection clutch C4 for interrupting the transmission of power is provided between the intermediate shaft S3 and the output shaft S4. When the power is directly transmitted from the input shaft S2 to the output shaft S4 via the direct connection clutch C3, the intermediate shaft connection clutch C4 is disconnected to stop the rotation of the intermediate shaft S3 and to prevent the lubricating oil from being excessively stirred by the idle rotation of the intermediate shaft S3. Further, the intermediate shaft connection clutch C4 is disconnected, and a transmission step is constituted by utilizing the gear trains among the two input shafts and the intermediate shaft S3, making it possible to omit one gear train and, therefore, to shorten the length of the transmission.
