    • PURPOSE:To provide the title unit designed so that a polarizing plate with its direction of polarization rectangular to that for the laser beams going toward an ocular through reflection is located in front of the ocular, thereby protecting the eyes of an operator from the laser beams. CONSTITUTION:Laser beams emitted from a source 1 is passed through a polarizing plate 2 into a unidirectional polarized laser beams, which are then collected, through an objective lens 6, onto a sample 4 to perforate raw cells. The image of the sample 4 illuminated by an illumination lamp 5 and the laser beams reflected by the sample 4 and the objective lens 6 enter together a polarizing plate 3 located in front of an ocular 7. In this case, an illuminating light from the lamp 5 can be passed through the polarizing plate 3 because of being unpolarized, but the laser beams are polarized by the polarizing plate 2; hence, if the direction of polarization for the plate 3 is made to be rectangular to that for the laser beams, said laser beams cannot be passed through the polarizing plate 3, and the image of the sample 4 passed through the polarizing plate 3 will enter the eyes of an operator through the ocular 7 and can be observed; thus protecting the eyes of the operator from the laser beams.

CONSTITUTION:A scanning mirror 3 is constructed in such a way that an allowable angle of rotation is restricted in order to make irradiation of laser beam downward by a restricting fitment 7 for angle of rotation and the fitment 7 is attached to a scanner 4. Then, laser beam is introduced to a scanning mirror 1 to adjust an angle of rotation and reflected by another scanner 2, introduced to the scanning mirror 3 and reflected so that a raw test specimen such as animal, vegetable cell, microorganism, etc., on a test specimen stand 5 is irradiated with the laser beam. On the other hand, observing lighting is sent the test specimen from the lower part of the test specimen stand 5 by illumination 6 and the raw test specimen is processed by the laser beam while observing it by an ocular part 8.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the separation capacity of a charge substance by eliminating the disturbance of the flow of the liquid in a migration chamber, by adhering a heat dissipating sheet having high heat conductivity, a good electric insulating property and liquid leakage preventing effect to the membrane isolating an electrode chamber. CONSTITUTION:A migration chamber 3(3a, 3b) and an electrode chamber 2 are isolated by a semipermeable membrane 4 and the migration chambers 3a, 3b are separated by a filter membrane 5. A supply port 11 for a solution of a charge substance to be separated, an upper take-out port 12 for the liquid after separation and a lower take out port 13 are provided to the migration chamber 3. Each of the semipermeable membrane 14 and the filter membrane 15 is held between heat dissipating sheets 14 each comprising a membrane like member having a large number of perforations. Each heat dissipating sheet 14 is formed using a material having high heat conductivity, a good electric insulating property and liquid leakage preventing effect, for example, a composition prepared by mixing a fiber or powder of Al2O3, AlN, C or glass with a gasket material such as silicone rubber. By this method, the removal of Joule heat generated at the time of electrophoresis and the deformation of the membranes due to electroosmosis are prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten intervals of pH control, and to carry out pH control of culture tank in high accuracy, by measuring time lag from the time of feeding pH adjustor to the time when pH substantially changes, and regulating the intervals of feed of pH adjuster depending upon the time lag. CONSTITUTION:The pH control device 5 calculates an amount of the pH adjuster 1 required to eliminate the difference between a set pH value and measured pH value by the pH meter 4 depending upon the difference. Then, the number of opening times of the solenoid valve 2 corresponding to the amount of the pH adjuster to be added is obtained, and the valve 2 is continuously opened and closed the number of opening times. Consequently, an amount of the pH adjuster 1 corresponding to the number o the opening times is added. During the operation, the above-mentioned pH control operation in the device 5 is carried out intermittently, and intervals of feed of the pH adjuster 1 is set by calculating time lag from the time of feeding the pH adjuster 1 to the time when pH changes substantially in the culture tank 3, and taking the time lag into consideration.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the elimination of adverse effects to culture liquid such as the disintegration of cells with the bearing in the tank, contamination of the culture liquid caused by the abrasion of the bearing, etc., by rotating a stirring blade with a magnetic supporting member without using a bearing in the tank. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical partition wall 3 is protruded from the bottom into the main body 1 of the culture tank, and a rotary shaft 4 is inserted into the cylindrical wall 3. Plural magnets 11 are fixed to the rotary shaft 4 with definite intervals along the direction of the shaft. A stirring blade 15 is fixed to the outer circumference of the partition wall 3 in the tank 1, and the magnet supporting member 13 having fixed magnet 14 is inserted in a freely rotatable manner. The magnet 11 fixed to the rotary shaft 4 and the magnet 14 fixed to the magnet supporting member 13 are disposed in a manner to generate repulsive force with each other and to effect the rotation of the stirring blade 15. The bearing in the tank is eliminated by this method, and accordingly, the adverse effects to culture liquid such as the disintegration of cells with the bearing in the tank, contamination of the culture liquid caused by the abra sion of the bearing, etc., can be eliminated.
