    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify water quality without exerting any adverse influence upon environments by suppressing/removing the generation of green powder by floating a specified unshaped material on the surface of water in the area, which is surrounded by a floating fence, in the state of layer and landing the specified unshaped material after the lapse of prescribed period. SOLUTION: The specified unshaped material composed of porous coarse particles 1 such as expanded stone, for which the specific gravity at the time of maximum water absorption is less than '1' and the average particle diameter is from 1cm to 5cm, is floated in the state of layer on the surface of water in the area surrounded by a floating fence 2 composed of a net body hung from a floating member 3, the specified unshaped material in the floating fence 2 is landed after the lapse of a certain period, and the generation of green powder propagated on the surface of water in the closed water zone is suppressed/removed. In this case, it is preferable for the landed specified unshaped material to be floated on the surface of water again after the execution of ashing or carbonizing processing to organic substances stuck on the surface or the material.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a method for simply and freely planting trees on the roof of a building an on the green belt of an expressway. CONSTITUTION: In planting trees on the roof of a building or on the sides of a road, a water screening tank having a short side wall is set on a face to be planted with trees. The water screening tank is spread with porous culture soil in 30cm or thinner thickness and a water supply pipe 7 and a drain pipe 8 are laid in the porous culture soil layer to constitute a planting bed. A granular porous material is put in a flat basket having a water-permeable bottom and plants are planted in the baskets to give a planting basket set. A necessary number of the planting basket sets are placed on the planting bed l. A water tank 15 installed outside the water screening tank is connected to the water screening tank so as to send water. The water level in the water screening tank is controlled in a fixed range to provide the objective method for planting trees on the roof of a building, etc.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, an apparatus and a program for evaluating living conditions of wild animals by which the living conditions of the wild animals can simply be evaluated in a short time. SOLUTION: This method for evaluating the living conditions of the wild animals comprises determining vegetational divisions of vegetations growing in each section prepared by dividing an area of an object into a latticelike state, allocating identifiers (e.g. colors) corresponding to the divisions to each section, drawing an area vegetational figure and preparing an animal and vegetational correspondence table recording the vegetational divisions where the wild animals are capable of living and the lower limit of the spread of communities of the habitable vegetations for the respective wild animals of an object of evaluation. Thereby, only the section of the habitable vegetational divisions is extracted for the respective wild animal of the object of evaluation from the area vegetational figure based on the identifiers to prepare a living evaluating vegetational figure. The spread of a region in the living evaluating vegetational figure is compared with the lower limit to thereby evaluate the living possibility of the animals of the object of evaluation. In the case of the animals moving between mutually separated habitable vegetational communities, the upper limit of the adjacent distance between movable habitable vegetational communities is recorded in the animal and vegetational correspondence table. As a result, the distance between the adjacent regions in the living evaluating vegetational figure is compared with the upper limit to thereby evaluate the living possibility.
