    • A manual drive for producing rotary movement in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions includes a drive lever which has a neutral position from which it can move into a first or second rotary direction. Attached to the drive lever are a pair of detent elements, one controlling clockwise rotation of the drive wheel and the other controlling counter-clockwise rotation. The detent elements have teething elements on a free end for engagement with a drive wheel which has counter teething about its circumference. The detent elements engage the drive wheel in the neutral position. The detent elements slide in a slide guide which lifts one of the detent elements out of engagement with the drive wheel when the drive lever moves in the opposite rotary direction. Springs located on either side of the slide guide lift the detent element on the drive side out of engagement with the drive wheel as the drive lever returns to the neutral position.

    • A vehicle seat constructed in accordance with principles of this invention comprises stopping means that serve to conduct forces introduced via a movable belt mounting point during a frontal impact directly to the side rail, without having to transmit the entire load via the adjusting mechanism. A vehicle seat includes a seat frame having a seat belt mounting point, and an upper rail that is connected to the seat frame by at least one adjusting lever and at least one compensating lever extending from the upper rail to the seat frame. The seat includes a height adjusting mechanism for adjusting the height of the seat frame. The height adjusting mechanism includes a drive shaft connected to an end of the adjusting lever, wherein rotation of the shaft effects vertical movement of the adjusting lever and height adjustment of the seat frame. The seat includes a stopping means that limits a maximum adjustment path of the seat frame, wherein in a stop position a belt force from the seat frame is introduced directly into the upper rail and bypasses the adjusting mechanism.

    • An aircraft including a device for influencing the directional stability of the aircraft is provided. The device includes a control-input device; a flight control device; a sensor device for acquiring the rotation rates, including the yaw rates, of the aircraft; and at least one actuator, which is coupled with ailerons, spoilers, an elevator and a rudder. The flight control device includes a control function generating adjusting commands for the actuators for controlling the aircraft according to control commands. The aircraft includes two tail-mounted flaps, each including an actuator connected with the flight control device, situated symmetrically to each other and on opposite sides of the fuselage, and movable between retracted and extended positions. The control function is designed such that the adjusting commands that are generated on the basis of the control commands depending on the acquired rotation rates include adjusting commands to the actuators of the tail-mounted flaps.
