摘要： A container for safekeeping an ink jet cartridge is provided with the main body of a container for storing an ink jet cartridge having a recording head unit, and an ink tank unit containing ink to be supplied to the recording head unit, a lid element for covering the inlet and outlet of the main body of the container for storing or removing the ink jet cartridge, an elastic cap member provided in the main body of the container for covering the recording head unit. This container for safekeeping an ink jet cartridge comprises a rib arranged on the inner wall surface of the lid element for exerting pressure on the recording head unit of the ink jet cartridge to press it to the elastic cap member; and a recess arranged on the inner wall surface of the main body of the container in a position corresponding to the location where the elastic cap member is arranged. In this way, it is possible to cap the recording head appropriately in the container to provide a highly reliable safekeeping of the ink jet cartridge, and at the same time, to store and safekeep the ink jet cartridges for monochromatic use and color uses exhangeably.

摘要： A printing apparatus includes traveling means for traveling in the recording directions by holding it for recording on a recording medium, guiding means for guiding the traveling means, and reading means detachably held by the guiding means. This printing apparatus further includes electrical connectors provided for the reading means and printing apparatus, respectively, for electrically connecting them, which are arranged to be installed or removed simultaneously by the operation of mounting the reading means on or demounting it from the guiding means, and also, detecting means for detecting a state of the reading means being mounted on the printing apparatus, controlling means for holding the power-supply to the traveling means and recovery means for recovering the performance of the recording means in a state of being cut off in accordance with the detection of the detecting means when the reading means is mounted on the printing apparatus. With such structure, it is possible to mount a reading unit in the interior of the printing apparatus easily without removing recording means, and at the same time, to prevent the reading unit from being stained by recovery means for recovering the performance of recording means.

摘要： A mounting base to support and position a magnetic tape cassette on the chassis of a video tape recorder consists of a generally rectangular plate in which the supports for the cassette consist of marginal portions of the plate which are partially severed from the remainder of the plate and upwardly bent to contact the bottom of the cassette. The cassette is of the type in which the tape is carried by a pair of spools, and has an upwardly tiltable lid along one side to allow the tape to be withdrawn from operation. The cassette is first received in a mounting case which is vertically tiltably mounted on the recorder chassis. Spaces are provided in the base for the driving reels and the tape withdrawal mechanism of the recorder and when the case moves the cassette downwardly, the upwardly bent portions of the base plate flip open the lid and also properly level the cassette.

According to this invention, a central portion of the meniscus opposed to the fine opening at the ejection outlet bulges, and the liquid is ejected in this state. Namely, very small amount of the liquid can be ejected, since not all of the liquid in the recess portion in the ejection outlet is ejected.

摘要： In an ink jet printing apparatus that performs printing by using an ink and a processing liquid that renders the ink insoluble, an effect the mist of the processing liquid or substances insolubilized by it has on the ejection performance of the ink head or processing liquid head is reduced. The distance between the processing liquid head 101S and the print paper 103 carried by the belt 111 is set larger than the head-to-paper distances of other heads 101Bk, 101C, 101M, 101Y. As a result, the mist generated by the ejection of the processing liquid from the head 101S diffuses in a recessed space formed by the heads 101Bk and 101C on both sides of the head 101S and thus hardly reaches the ink nozzle surfaces of these heads on both sides.
