    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner excellent in long-term storage stability by controlling a dispersed state of wax near the toner surface and improving not only anti-hot-offset properties and to render the fixing properties into favorable but also blocking resistance. SOLUTION: The toner contains at least a binder resin, a colorant and a wax, wherein a wax content is 3 to 21 mass% of the total mass of the toner as a value obtained by expressing absorbed heat quantity of the wax measured by a DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) method in term of mass. The toner has a peak intensity ratio of (P 2850 /P 828 ) of 0.01 to 0.40 between a peak (2,850 cm -1 ) originating in the wax and a peak (828 cm -1 ) originating in the binder resin measured by an FTIR-ATR (Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflection) method, as a value which defines the amount of the wax present in a region from the surface of a toner particles to a depth of 0.3 μm, and at least part of the wax is present as a plurality of independent wax dispersed particles included in the toner particles.
