    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double-layer capacitor having a container whose deformation is suppressed to the minimum.
      SOLUTION: The electric double-layer capacitor 1 has a structure in which a cell laminate 3 formed by laminating a plurality of package cells 41 in a predetermined direction is housed in a box-like container 2 and the cell laminate is pressed from a predetermined direction. The capacitor 1 is provided with a pressurizing mechanism 4 between a container side wall 22c opposing the cell laminate from a predetermined direction and the cell laminate 3. In the pressurizing mechanism 4, an active point of a reaction force to be applied from the container side wall side is positioned near the external edge portion of the side wall. In an embodiment, the pressurizing mechanism has an elastic plate (plate spring) 50. The elastic plate has a plate body 51 disposed adjacently to the laminate, and a plurality of elastic pieces 52 extending from the plate body toward a slanting outside, and the free ends of the elastic pieces are allowed to contact the vicinity of the edge portion of the container side wall(s) 22c and/or 22a.

Along with the opening of the door, a releasing spring 51 energizes the transfer member 30 to move toward the opening direction of the door, and furthermore, after storing an opening force with the movement of the transfer member 31, the door is locked in the state opening force is stored.
