    • A power transmission device of a compressor includes a rotary shaft, a pulley, a hub, a power shutoff member, a spacer and a cylinder. The power shutoff member shuts off excessive torque transmission between the pulley and the rotary shaft of the compressor. The spacer is disposed on the rotary shaft. The cylinder is disposed between the power shutoff member and the rotary shaft. The cylinder has an external thread portion formed at the outer periphery thereof for engagement with an internal thread portion of the power shutoff member and an internal thread portion formed at the inner periphery thereof for engagement with an external thread portion of the rotary shaft. The cylinder has a contacting surface for contact with a seating surface of the spacer and a seating surface for contact with a contacting surface of the hub at the axial end portion of the hub.

    • A heat-insulating mechanism in a compressor which introduces refrigerant gas from a suction pressure region to a compression chamber and discharges the refrigerant gas from the compression chamber to a discharge pressure region has a circular passage, a communication passage, a cylindrical member and a passage heat-insulating member. The circular passage, which is a portion of the suction pressure region, has a circular cross-section, and is in communication with an external refrigerant circuit. The communication passage, which is a portion of the suction pressure region, intersects the circular passage for connection therewith, and is communicable with the compression chamber. The cylindrical member is fitted into the circular passage. The passage heat-insulating member made of an insulating material covers at least a portion of a passage wall surface which forms the communication passage. Rotation of the cylindrical member is prevented by engaging the passage heat-insulating member with the cylindrical member.

    • A waste heat regeneration system for a vehicle having a vehicle engine actuated by a start-stop switch includes Rankine cycle circuit, a motor generator, a by-pass circuit and a control device. The Rankine cycle circuit includes a pump, a boiler heating the heat medium by heat exchanging with waste heat generated by the vehicle engine, an expansion device and a condenser. The by-pass circuit is connected to the Rankine cycle circuit at the upstream and downstream sides of the condenser and the communication of the heat medium is openable and closable therethrough. When the start-stop switch of the vehicle engine is turned off, the control device controls the by-pass circuit to communicate the heat medium therethrough and keeps controlling of the rotational speed of the motor generator until pressure difference between the upstream and downstream of the expansion device is decreased to a predetermined level, and then stops the control.
