    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature exhaust gas treatment method enabling to cool high temperature exhaust gas down to a temperature allowing the treatment with a final dust collector without depositing and producing molten components or dust in the high temperature exhaust gas on the inner wall of a cooling tower. SOLUTION: The treatment method for the high temperature exhaust gas 5 comprises introducing the high temperature exhaust gas 5 including dust via flues into the cooling tower 2, and spraying cooling water to the high temperature exhaust gas 5 to be cooled in the cooling tower 2. In the planar view of the cooling tower 2, the high temperature exhaust gas 5 is introduced into the cooling tower 2 via the two-line flues 3a, 3b while holding equal flowing rate and amount therein. Axial center lines 3ac, 3bc of the two-line flues 3a, 3b are opposite and approximately perpendicular to an axial center line 2c extending in the vertical direction of the cooling tower 2.     • PURPOSE:To prevent increase in pressure resistance at hot blast passage in a tuyere and degrading of permeability at furnace core and to improve operational efficiency by operating while blowing solid fuel from a solid fuel blowing hole arranged at bosh part in a blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:In the blast furnace 1 blowing the solid fuel from a blowing lance 5 inserted in a tuyere 2, the blowing lance 6 is arranged separately with the lance 5 in the bosh part 4 in the blast furnace 1, and a part of the whole blowing solid fuel is blown from the lance 6 with insert gas. As the solid fuel from the lance 6 is not passed through the tuyere 2, increase in the pressure in the tuyere can be prevented and a large amount of the solid fuel can be blown while stably continuing the blowing from the tuyere. Further, as the blowing of solid fuel is executed from higher position than the tuyere with the inert gas, the solid fuel blown under non-burning condition is not allowed to flow into the furnace core 7, the permeability in the furnace core is not degraded.
