    • PURPOSE:To make the liquefying and separation of air efficient by separating the mixture of gas and liquid by a gas and liquid separator into vapor rich in nitrogen and condensed liquid rich in oxygen. CONSTITUTION:Vapor, fractionated in a lower pressure tower 1 and supplied to a lower evaporator 31a as a heat source for evaporation after being introduced out of the top of a lower pressure tower 1, becomes the mixture of gas and liquid after being condensed as the result of heat exchange, then, is supplied to a gas and liquid separator 4. The mixture of gas and liquid is separated in the gas and liquid separator 4 into vapor, rich in nitrogen, and condensed liquid, rich in oxygen. The vapor, rich in nitrogen, is supplied to an upper pressure tower 2 whereby the inside of the upper pressure tower 2 becomes a condition rich in nitrogen and nitrogen is taken out from the top of the upper pressure tower 2 as vapor while liquefied air, rich in nitrogen, is taken out of the bottom and is supplied to the upper tower 32 of a low pressure tower 3. According to this method, fractionating operation becomes favourable and efficient liquefying and separating treatment of air can be effected.

    • PURPOSE:To hold heat in a hot stove with little energy consumption by utilizing hot blast generated at the time of cooling checker supporting metal in the process holding the heat in the hot stove with heating of the checker brick, cooling of the checker supporting metal and close of a hot blast valve to heating of the other hot stove at the time of holding the heat of plural hot stoves during the period of repairing a blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:In order to hold the heat of the four hot stoves 5-8 attached to the blast furnace till restarting the blast furnace at the time of stopping the blast furnace operation due to repairing refractory bricks, etc., in the blast furnace, e.g. silica brick 1A in the hot stove 6 as the checker brick in a regenerator 1 is heated with an attached burner in a combustion chamber 2, and by feeding cold blast to the checker supporting metal 4 from a cold blast feeding tube 10, the checker supporting metal 4 is cooled. The hot blast generated at this time is supplied to the other hot stove 5 and heated, and by closing the hot blast valve 11b in the hot stove 6, the checker brick 1A is held to >=600 deg.C phase transformation temp. and heat in the silica brick is held, and also while preventing breakage thereof with the volume variation caused by lowering of temp., the heat holding in the hot stove during stopping the blast furnace operation is economically executed. To the other hot stoves, the heat in the hot stove is relationally held until restarting the blast furnace, by this method.

    • PURPOSE:To flow ascending gas at center part and to make stability and promote efficiency of the operation by charging coke from a charging chute at the center part arranged with slope under suitable condition at the time when the previous piling layer at the center part in a blast furnace reaches to the optimum height. CONSTITUTION:The coke is exclusively charged into the center part in the blast furnace from the charging chute at the center part arranged with slope so as penetrating furnace wall at the top part in the blast furnace and directing to the center part. Then, the setting condition of the charging chute and interrelation between height of the previous piling layer at the center part and the dropping piled shape of the above charging coke formed on this are beforehand grasped. Further, the height of the previous piling layer in the center part at the time of the actual operation is measured with horizontal sonde and vertical sonde. At the time when this height reaches to the optimum height, based on the above setting condition and the interrelation, charge of the coke at the center part is exclusively executed. By this method, the coke is suitably piled into the center part and the ascending gas is flowed at the center part in the blast furnace and the blast furnace operation is made to stability and promoted to efficiency.
