摘要： The present invention relates to the use of a dryer-added fabric softener composition, after a normal wash process, said composition having optimal characteristics for providing good coverage of fabrics that are treated, and optionally comprising at least one fabric softener component, for imparting fabric appearance benefits. The invention comprises the softener compositions in packages in association with instructions for their use in the dryer to provide protection for the fabrics, especially color care. Dryer-added fabric softener compositions containing chlorine scavenger to protect colored fabrics from chlorine in the next wash cycle are disclosed.

摘要： The present invention relates to a stable, homogenous fabric softening composition providing good static control, selected from the group consisting of:I. a liquid composition comprising: (A) from about 5% to about 40% by weight of a biodegradable quaternary ammonium fabric softening compound; (B) from about 0% to about 2.5% by weight of an electrolyte; (C)an aqueous liquid carrier; and (D) from about 0% to about 0.5% of a silicone antifoam agent; and II. a solid particulate composition comprising: (A) from about 50% to about 95% by weight of a biodegradable quaternary ammonium fabric softening compound; and (B) from about 0% to about 30% by weight of dispersibility modifier selected from the group consisting of: 1.) single-long-chain, C.sub.10 -C.sub.22 alkyl, cationic surfactant; 2.) nonionic surfactant with at least 8 ethoxy moieties; 3.) amine oxide; and 4.) mixtures thereof; wherein the quaternary ammonium fabric softening compound has the formula:(R).sub.4-m -N.sup.+ -[(CH.sub.2).sub.n -Y-R.sup.2 ].sub.m X--wherein each Y is --O--(O)C--, or --C(O)--O--; m is 2 or 3; n is 1 to 4; each R is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group, benzyl group, or mixtures thereof; each R.sup.2 is a saturated C.sub.8 -C.sub.14 hydrocarbyl or substituted hydrocarbyl substituent; and X.sup.- is any softener-compatible anion; wherein the composition contains less than about 1.5% by weight of fatty acid; and wherein the pH for the liquid composition is from about 2 to about 5.

摘要： Personal care compositions comprising responsive particles. In one aspect, the responsive particle comprises: (1) a particle core having an interfacial surface, (2) a first polymer having a first property, and (3) a second polymer having a contrasting property. The first polymer and the second polymer are attached at different locations to the interfacial surface of the particle core. In another aspect, the responsive particle comprises: (1) a particle core having an interfacial surface, (2) at least one block co-polymer comprising a first block and a second block, wherein said first block has a first property and said second block has a second property, and (3) optionally, at least one other polymer having a third property. The block co-polymer and the optional other polymer (if present) are attached to the interfacial surface of the particle core, and at least one of the properties contrasts. The personal care compositions also comprise a dermatologically acceptable carrier. Also disclosed are methods of making responsive particles.

Rinse added compositions comprising chelators such as diethylenetriaminepentaacetate or ethylenediamine disuccinate are used to restore the appearance of colored and white fabrics whose drab appearance has been caused by interactions with metal ions, especially copper and nickel. Compositions comprising the chelators in combination with fabric care auxiliaries such as fabric softeners, cellulase enzymes and chlorine scavengers are provided.
