    • The present invention includes flat-panel type display section (11), main body (12) which supports this flat-panel type display section (11), angle adjustment mechanism (13) for adjusting an inclination angle to a perpendicular direction of a display surface of flat-panel type display section (11), and shelf member (14) on which an article is to be placed. Then, as for shelf member (14), one end of the shelf member is provided near an upper edge of flat-panel type display section (11), and the other end of the shelf member is supported by main body (12). According to the present invention, since supporting plate (22) of shelf member (11) is supported by main body (12), shelf member (14) is not moved in connection with flat-panel type display section (11) when the display angle of flat-panel type display section (11) is adjusted by angle adjustment mechanism (13), and hence, the article is stably placed on shelf member (14).

    • Rocker arm clearance removing device wherein a hydraulic adjuster applies torque to a pressure bearing surface at right angles thereto on a curved outwardly extending pressure bearing arm of an eccentric cam which eccentrically supports the rocker arm. Rotation of the rocker arm resulting from the torque causes the rocker arm to come into pressure contact with a valve operating cam and an intake or exhaust valve. An engaging piece can be provided radially extending from the eccentric cam circumferentially spaced from the pressure bearing arm for engaging a swivel stop on the case of the hydraulic adjuster to limit swinging of the eccentric cam and rocker arm during assembly. An arm stopper can also be provided on the case of the hydraulic adjuster to prevent swinging of cam and rocker arm in the opposite direction during assembly.

    • Herein disclosed is a secondary air supply control device for use with an apparatus for purifying an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine. In the exhaust gas purifying apparatus, a secondary air supply system is made to communicate with the exhaust system of the internal combustion engine so that secondary air may be supplied during the running operation of the internal combustion engine to said exhaust system thereby to oxidize and clear the unburned noxious content of said exhaust system. The secondary air supply control device comprises a vacuum-operated secondary air control valve which is disposed midway of said secondary air supply system for controlling the flow rate of the secondary air to be supplied to said exhaust system; and means for controlling said vacuum-operated secondary air control valve during the deceleration and the choking operation at the start of said engine so that the supply of the secondary air to said exhaust system is interrupted.

    • A hydraulic lash adjuster of the closed-type including a closed cylinder with a plunger positioned therein defining a hydraulic chamber at the closed end of the cylinder. An annular diaphragm extending between the cylinder and the plunger as a reservoir. A passage provides communication between the reservoir and the hydraulic chamber with a check valve preventing flow from the hydraulic chamber to the reservoir. A passageway extends axially through the plunger and is closed off by means of a soft plug in an area of greater diameter intermediate the ends of the passageway. Retainers hold the annular diaphragm in place with the retainer associated with the plunger extending inwardly to the plunger within the diaphragm to conserve on axial length of the mechanism.
