    • A color copying machine contains a scanning unit driven by a motor for applying a color scanning beam onto a manuscript, a photoconductive drum operable to rotate for being exposed to the scanning beam to form on a peripheral surface thereof a latent image of the manuscript. The color copying machine further contains a device for applying a toner to the latent image to form a toner image, and a transfer drum for holding a record sheet onto which the toner image on the photoconductive drum is transferred. A main controller calculates data representative of a speed of the motor in accordance with a magnification rate of the copy image to be formed on the record sheet to the image on the manuscript, and outputs a pulse signal whose pulse rate is proportional to the calculated speed data. The main controller outputs the pulse signal to a controller which drives the motor at a speed determined by the pulse rate of the pulse signal. Thus, the speed of the scanning unit is determined in accordance with the magnification rate.

    • A color copying machine includes scanning device for applying illumination onto a color original to effect a scanning operation. A color separator includes a plurality of optical filters of different colors, each of the filters allowing a predetermined light component of the illumination to pass therethrough during each scanning operation so as to apply it onto a photoconductive drum charged uniformly to form an electrostatic image thereon. Color toner is applied to each of the electrostatic images during the rotation of the photoconductive drum. The toner image on the photoconductive drum is transferred to a record sheet on a transfer drum. Two sensors are provided for sensing the initiation of each scanning operation and the position of the record sheet on the transfer drum. A control circuit detects, in response to the outputs of the two sensors, start and end timings of the transferring of each of the toner images onto the record sheet. The control circuit controls the transfer drum to rotate at the same speed as the photoconductive drum during the transfer of each toner image to said record sheet, and controls the transfer drum to rotate, during a time interval between the two consecutive transfer operations, at such a speed that a leading edge of the record sheet on the transfer drum is brought into agreement with a leading edge of each toner image on the photoconductive drum.

    • It is an object to effectively enhance rigidity of a subframe installed to couple a pair of right and left wheel suspension members, with a simple structure, and allow a stabilizer to be adequately installed. A subframe (3) installed to couple a pair of right and left wheel suspension members (2) together comprises a cross member (31) provided with a lateral-link support portion (14, 18) supporting an end of the lateral link (5, 6), a pair of right and left side members (33) each extending from a respective one of opposite vehicle-widthwise outer ends of the cross member (31), in a vehicle longitudinal direction; and a pair of right and left reinforcing members (35) each reinforcing a coupling section between the lateral-link support portion (14, 18) of the cross member (31) or a vicinity thereof, and a respective one of the side members (33). A stabilizer (10) is installed above the cross member (31) to extend in a vehicle widthwise direction in such a manner as to couple the right and left wheel suspension members 2, and each of the reinforcing members (35) is provided with a stabilizer support section torsionably supporting the stabilizer (10).

    • Provided is a wireless relay system that improves system throughput between terminal stations and flexibly makes system throughput variable with respect to short-term traffic fluctuations. In the wireless relay system, a plurality of relay stations relay communication between two terminal stations that perform random access. The terminal stations and the relay stations include a slot synchronization unit, a time synchronization unit, and a transmission unit. The slot synchronization unit synchronizes slot timing of a time slot indicating a unit time. The time synchronization unit performs time synchronization for synchronization of the slot timing. The transmission unit transmits a transmission packet to a wireless line in synchronization with the slot timing. A transmission right is allocated for at least one time slot to each of a plurality of groups which are configured so that a group of a terminal station or a relay station and a group of an adjacent terminal station or an adjacent relay station are different from each other. The transmission unit transmits the transmission packet to the wireless line only in a time slot in which the transmission right is allocated to the group to which the terminal station or the relay station belongs.
