Disclosed is a coupling mechanism of a tricycle, comprising a rod, a fixed axis, a rotation element, a linkage element, a sliding block, a buffer element, and an elastic element. The rod is fixed at the tail part of the tricycle having two rear wheels. One end of the fixed axis is fixed at the tail part. The rotation element is fixed at the head part of the tricycle having one front wheel and rotatably sleeved in the other end of the fixed axis, which is not at the tail part. The linkage element protrudes out of the rotation element. The sliding block is movably connected to the rod and has an accommodating space for movably accommodating the linkage element. The buffer element and the elastic element are located at two ends of the rod. The mechanism can inwardly tilt the head part but not the tail part as the tricycle takes a turn, and will not overturn the tricycle.
