    • An Electro-Mechanical Energy Conversion (EMEC) device (10) for electro-magnetically converting electrical energy to mechanical energy and electrical energy. The EMEC device comprises a non-magnetic cylindrical stator casing (11); a rotor (13); a direct current power source (15); a commutator (14) which reverses the polarity of the first and second coils every 180 DEG of rotor rotation, and fluorescent lamps (19) acting as a non-linear, capacitive, voltage-limiting load for rapidly dumping magnetic energy from the coils when the polarity is reversed. Four armature coils (12) of a first magnetic polarity are concentrically mounted on a first side of the outer surface of the stator casing, and four armature coils of an opposite polarity are concentrically mounted on an opposite side of the stator casing. Each coil is wound with an average of 6,650 turns of 34 AWG gauge teflon-coated wire. The rotor (13) is constructed of non-magnetic material, and is rotationally mounted in the stator casing (11). A plurality of neodymium iron-boron permanent magnets (17) are circumferentially mounted on the rotor. The power source (15) is connected to the coils and produces an output of 0-5,000 volts at 30 to 40 milliamperes maximum.

    • An Electro-Mechanical Energy Conversion (EMEC) device (10) which produces an amount of output energy that is greater than the input electrical energy. Four armature coils (12) of a first magnetic polarity are concentrically mounted on a first side of the outer surface of a non-magnetic, non-conductive cylindrical stator casing (11), and four armature coils of an opposite polarity are concentrically mounted on an opposite side of the stator casing. The rotor (13) is constructed of a light-weight, non-magnetic, non-conductive material, and is rotationally mounted in the stator casing. A plurality of permanent magnets (17) are circumferentially mounted on the rotor. The magnets on a first side of the rotor are mounted with a first outward polarity, and the magnets on an opposite side of the rotor are mounted with an opposite outward polarity. The power source (15) is connected to the coils and produces an output of 0-5,000 volts at a maximum current sufficient to produce a magneto motive force (MMF) of approximately 2,128 ampere-turns. Fluorescent lamps (19) are connected to the coils for rapidly dumping magnetic energy from the coils when the polarity is reversed. A commutator (14) reverses the polarity of the first and second coils every 180 DEG of rotor rotation, and guides the magnetic energy from the coils to the lamps and to charge the power source.
