    • The present invention relates to apparatus for hydrogen sorption which provides improved sensitivity, safety and accuracy of measurements. The hydrogen sorption analyser comprises a furnace having two parts, the upper part (200) and the lower part, which fit together, wherein the lower part can move relatively to the upper part (200), and wherein the upper part (200) has an opening with the thread (202), and the lower part has an opening, which openings relatively suit and are oriented to each other when furnace is closed. The upper part and the lower part are hollow in the middle. The furnace further comprises a bracket holder for sample container (210), a sample container holder (212) and a furnace insert (250), wherein the bracket holder for sample container (210), to which the sample container holder (212) is attached, extends from the inside of the upper part (200), passes through the opening with the thread (202), wherein the furnace insert (250), has elongated shape with two ends, the upper one which is opened and the lower one which is closed, arranged so that on the upper opened end there is a thread suitable to screw the furnace insert (250) to thread on the opening with the thread (202). When the furnace is fully assembled, the part of the bracket holder for sample container (210) and complete sample container holder (212) are placed in the furnace insert (250) and are located together with the furnace insert (250) in the lower part of the furnace.

    • The subject invention is directed to a breath analyzer which is capable of detecting toxic gas levels from breath analysis. The subject invention includes a mouthpiece which is in communication with a plurality of discrete chambers, such as first and second discrete chambers, each being provided with a separate probe for breath analysis. The probes are connected to analyzers for determining detected levels of gas. In a first embodiment, a first probe may be provided for carbon monoxide detection with a second probe being provided for hydrogen cyanide detection. Advantageously, with this arrangement, breath analysis may be conducted on-site, for example at the site of a fire, to quickly and simultaneously determine carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide levels in a person's blood stream. In a second embodiment, a first probe may be provided for detection of carbon monoxide and a second probe may be provided for detection of hydrogen. With this arrangement, a calibrated correction of measured carbon monoxide data can be made to correct for improperly detected hydrogen. As such, a highly accurate on-site measurement for carbon monoxide can be achieved.
