摘要： Various examples are provided related to hyperspectral imaging of moving microscopic sample elements. In one example, a method for hyperspectral imaging includes acquiring a series of optical images and corresponding hyperspectral data of a sample; compiling a movie comprising a series of frames each including one of the series of optical images and a slit line indicating a location of a slit for acquisition of the hyperspectral data; identifying a frame comprising an element of the sample located on the slit line; and analyzing the hyperspectral data corresponding to the optical image in the identified frame. Each optical image and its corresponding hyperspectral data are acquired simultaneously and identified by a time stamp or sequence number. The analysis can generate hyperspectral information about the element. In another example, a system for hyperspectral imaging includes a hyperspectral imaging device; an optical imaging device; and a computing device.

摘要： A method of measuring the color of a surface. A device is positioned above the surface. The device comprises an optical sensor and a display screen. The optical sensor measures visible light level in a plurality of spectral channels, each channel having different spectral sensitivity characteristics. The device is positioned such that the sensor measures light reflected from the surface. A plurality of patterns are sequentially displayed on the display screen, each pattern comprising an illuminated region at a different respective distance from the optical sensor. The optical sensor is used to measure light reflected by the surface during display of each pattern. A value is determined for the distance from the optical sensor to the illuminated region for a first local maximum of intensity of the measured light reflected by the surface, the first local maximum being a maximum of the diffuse reflection of the pattern. A location in a color space corresponding to a color of the surface or a reflectance spectrum of the surface is determined based on the visible light level in each spectral channel for the value of the distance corresponding to the first local maximum.

摘要： A spectrally-scanned hyperspectral EO sensor trades the temporal properties of spectral information content for instantaneous situation awareness by capturing an image frame and scanning the spectral scene (wavelength) to build up spectral content. The objective optical system, preferably including a chromatic aberration enhancing device, separates spectral components of the incident radiation. A focus cell is used to adjust a relative axial focus position of the objective optical system with respect to a detector to at least two different axial focus positions to adjust the image position and read out an image frame for a spectrally-weighted component. A processor computes a relative spatial image contrast from a plurality of image frames at different wavelengths as a function of encoded focus cell position. A mechanism may be configured to move the enhancing device in and out of the optical path to form a dual gray-scale and hyperspectral EO sensor.

A set of images of an unhatched egg are obtained, where each of the spectral images is obtained in a particular wavelength range. The set of images is processed to extract image features, where the image features includes an image texture feature. The extracted image features are processed to classify the unhatched egg according to at least one characteristic. The at least one characteristic may include fertility and/or gender.
