As a result, the expanding device allows the sliders to slide on each other in such a manner that the expansion mechanism is extended.

    • A device with which detachably to lock two elements to each other, said elements when not locked being telescopically displaceable relative to each other. The device comprises an insert (3), which may be entered into the outer element (1) and locked therein, and which comprises at least two sections (8, 9), each of said sections extending circumferentially along at least more than half the circumference of the inside of said outer element. Between the two sections the insert is provided with on the one side of the inner element (2) a distance piece (10) and on the other side thereof a cut (13). The insert is provided with a through conduit for the inner element (2) which is to be displaceable telescopically and lockable with respect to the outer element (1). In the area of said distance piece, the insert is provided with a larger inner radius or diameter than in the area of said sections. A locking element (4) is placed in the clearance between the outer and the inner elements, and means (5, 6) are provided by which to press the locking element against the inner element by pressing the locking element radially inwards from the outside, thereby clamping said element between on the one hand the inside of the locking element and on the other side the insides of the two sections.

    • The invention relates to a tensioning and clamping device for an object with a circular or ring-shaped cross-section, specially a rod, bolt, tap or tube, consisting of a base body with a hole whose diameter is larger than that of the objet to be tensioned or clamped and which is penetrated by said object, in addition to a rotating ring which produces tensioning and clamping. The aim of the invention is to create a device which is very short, easy to produce, has a simple design and is easy to handle, enabling objects with a cylindrical periphery to be tensioned and clamped in a reliable and secure manner without causing any damage to their surface. The invention is characterized in that the axis of the hole which receives the object to be tensioned or clamped extends in a staggered manner parallel to the axis of the ring producing tensioning and clamping; that said ring is mounted on the base body or therein in such a way as to be able to rotate but being unable to move axially; that said ring producing clamping and tensioning has at least one inner surface part which rests against the object which is to be tensioned or clamped and whose geometric shape resembles part of a spiral. The tensioning and clamping device enables objects to be clamped in a reliable, vibration-resistant manner without damaging the surfaces thereof. To achieve this, less than one rotation of the ring producing tensioning and clamping is required.
