    • This invention relates to a fluid operated hydraulic pump which includes a housing (10), a chamber (22) in the housing with at least a portion of the wall (12) of the chamber being movable towards and away from a second wall to vary the volume of the chamber, a fluid inlet port (55) into and an outlet port (56) from the chamber (22), a valve arrangement (16) for opening and closing the fluid inlet (55) and outlet ports (56), a hydraulic fluid piston pump (14) which is attached to the housing (10) with its piston (32) connected to the movable chamber wall (12) and means which is actuated by the hydraulic pump piston (32) for operating the valve arrangement (16) to close the housing chamber (22) fluid outlet port (56) and to open its inlet port (55) to enable fluid under pressure to enter the chamber (22) to move the movable chamber wall (12) away from the second wall to cause the hydraulic pump piston (32) to pump hydraulic fluid at an amplified pressure from the hydraulic pump (14), in use. Preferably the valve arrangement (16) is situated in the housing chamber (22) and the movable wall portion (12) of the chamber is defined by a flexible diaphragm assembly.

    • An air motor comprising a piston and cylinder unit and control means mounted wholly within a housing secured to the unit. The housing comprises two parts (11, 12) at the ends of the cylinder (10) and a manifold assembly (28, 30) extending alongside the cylinder (10) and these end parts.
