摘要： Ladders and ladder accessories for articulating ladders are mountable to an upper rung of the ladder and can remain attached to the upper rung while the ladder articulates between collapsed, straight, and step ladder configurations without binding or engaging other rungs. The accessories can be top caps configured to hold tools and parts while the user climbs and stands on the ladder. The accessories can be removed from the ladder without damage to the accessory or the ladder, thereby enabling retrofitting ladders with the accessory or moving the accessory to different rungs or positions on the same ladder. Some accessories can have more than one body portion, and a portion can therefore pivot relative to another portion to enlarge the working platform offered by the accessory and to provide additional surfaces for temporarily supporting the accessory parts on the ladder rungs.

摘要： Elevated work platform apparatuses, as well as associated methods, are provided. One elevated platform apparatus comprises a first assembly having a pair of rails coupled with a plurality of rungs, a second assembly hingedly coupled with the first assembly, a platform pivotally coupled with the first assembly and configured to extend to, and engage a portion of, the second assembly. The apparatus further includes a cage associated with the platform. The cage may include a guard structure including a pair of gates. A locking mechanism may be associated with the platform and include a latch member for engagement with a cross-member of the second assembly. Actuation of the locking member may include a "pulling" action by a user standing in front of the apparatus and reaching between the two rails of the first assembly.

In one particular embodiment, an elevated platform apparatus is provided comprising a first assembly having a pair of rails coupled with a plurality of rungs, a second assembly hingedly coupled with the first assembly, a platform pivotally coupled with the first assembly and configured to extend to, and engage a portion of, the second assembly. The apparatus further includes a cage associated with the platform. The cage may include at least one bar and at least one gate, the at least one gate being configured to swing in a first direction upon a user stepping on to the platform from the first rail assembly, and then swing back to a closed position after the user is standing on the platform. Platform includes a toe-kick structure that is collapsible relative to the deck of the platform.

In some embodiments, adjustable stepladders are provided which include locking mechanisms that enable height adjustment of the ladder through application of a force towards the rails of the ladder. In other embodiments, spreader mechanisms are provided with cross bracing located and configured to provide additional stability to the ladder while also incorporating a handle that enables efficient collapsing of the ladder while reducing the potential of pinching ones hands or fingers. In another embodiment, a device is provided for selective coupling with the ladder that includes a support or safety rail and an adjustable tray. The device may be coupled with the ladder in a number of different positions including a stowed position. In another embodiment, a hinge assembly is provided having a magnetic component configured to be magnetically coupled with and temporarily store an object on the ladder.

摘要： The invention relates to a ladder comprising a floorboard, whereby the ladder is configured such that its length can be adjusted, and it can be used as a telescopic simple ladder or as a free-standing double ladder. In addition, the inventive ladder comprises support spars, which are located on the outer longitudinal sides, which can be folded inward and locked, whose lengths can be continuously adjusted, and which are configured such that they can be swung outward and fixed in all directions by continuously adjustable traction and pressure braces. The inventive ladder is characterized in that the floorboard consists of two plate halves which correspond to the length of the ladder, in that these plate halves are fastened, in an articulated manner, on their outer longitudinal side to the ladder rungs by means of hinges. The inventive ladder is additionally characterized in that the unfolded plate halves are locked using locking elements, especially locking pins, which are equipped with compression springs located between the fastening nut and the underside of the plate halves and a segment disc which can be rotated and which overlaps the exterior of the ladder spar. The plate halves have slotted openings which correspond to the distances between the rungs and through which rung hooks of another ladder can pass through in order to hook the same inside the rungs of the first ladder. Finally, the upper end of ladder is equipped with guide profiles which project toward the side on which the floorboard is placed.
