摘要： The present invention is directed to the field of building construction, and particularly the construction of multistorey buildings using timber as a major structural material. The invention is embodied in one form as a connector plate having a series of pins extending therefrom. In a building component, each pin engages with a relatively small diameter timber flanges by way of an axial bore hole formed in each flange. In this way, the flanges form a timber structural member useful in the formation of a framework of a building structure. The plate of the connector provides means for fastening to other similar connectors or to other building structures. Various combinations of connectors and building flanges may be used to construct a single storey building, and furthermore may be used in the construction of a multistorey building.

摘要： This invention relates to a connector for joining a first object to a second object. The connector includes a body portion, and a first connecting portion, located at, or towards, a first end of the body portion, and wherein the first connecting portion includes a single aperture through which a fastening device may be driven, in order to attach the first connecting portion to the first object. The connector also includes a second connecting portion, located at, or towards, a second end of the body portion, and wherein the second connecting portion includes a single aperture through which a fastening device may be driven, in order to attach the second connecting portion to the second object. The invention may be particularly suitable for joining timber framing.

The structural member includes a first timber round having a first cooperating surface extending longitudinally along the length thereof, and a second timber round having a second cooperating surface extending longitudinally along the length thereof. 摘要： A modular building structure is provided. The building structure has a support framework comprising a pair of longitudinally extending beams, a plurality of vertically and transversely extending identical arched ribs spaced apart from one another, a plurality of level one joists coupled at each transverse end to one of the ribs and one of the beams, a plurality of level two joists coupled at each transverse end to one of the ribs at a location above the level one joists, and a plurality of longitudinally extending hat bars coupled to the transverse insides of all of the arched ribs. The hat bars may have a generally trapezoidal cross-section. The beams, arched ribs, level one joists, level two joists, and hat bars are preformed and provided with pre-drilled holes for coupling to other components of the support framework. Methods and kits for building a modular building structure are also provided.
