摘要： The present invention is novel Pol γ protein inhibitor compounds were identified and characterized. The compounds developed by the present invention are useful for selectively inhibiting the growth of MLH1 mutant/deficient tumor or cancer cells due to a synthetic lethal relationship between MLH1 and Pol γ. With this invention described herein were shown to directly interact with Pol γ and inhibit its biological function and cause cancer cell death and an inhibition of tumor or cancer cell growth in multiple assays.

摘要： Alterations to the ERG gene are some of the most prominent genomic changes associated with many cancers including prostate cancer. Such cancer specific alterations result in the overexpression of wild type ERG protein or an altered ERG protein. The present invention provides selective inhibitors of wild type or an altered ERG protein expression. The ERG inhibitors of the invention, therefore, are therapeutic agents for treating ERG positive cancers.

摘要： A method for entrapping migratory antigen presenting cells (APCs) and particularly Langerhans cells (LCs,) in vivo provided. The method entails creating an artificial gradient of APC-attracting chemotactic factor in the homing path of APCs in vivo . Also provided is a composition for entrapping APCs and particularly, migratory LCs. In addition, a method for loading APCs in situ with antigen is provided. The method comprises entrapping APCs in vivo and subsequently loading the APCs in situ with antigen. Correspondingly, a composition for loading APCs in situ is also is also provided. Further provided is a method for stimulating the migration of entrapped APCs to draining lymph nodes. The ability to stimulate the migration of entrapped APCs to draining lymph nodes is useful, internalia ) for regulating an immune response in a subject. In addition, an in situ APC-based vaccine is provided which does not require any time-consuming, costly ex vivo manipulations.
