    • This invention relates to an improved pouring spout (1) of the type of ones which are detachably connected to a filling container (3) for transferring liquid in a receiving container (5). These kind of pouring spout (1) includes an inlet tube (11) for receiving liquid from the filling container, and an outlet tube (21) telescopically mounted to slide onto the inlet tube for guiding liquid therefrom into the receiving container. The spout also comprises a liquid valve (31) which opens and closes automatically upon sliding of the outlet tube. The current invention further comprises an air passage (12) and an air valve (51) for regulating an air flow inside the spout from the receiving container (5) into the filling container (3), such that the flow of liquid inside the spout stops automatically when the receiving container (5) is full, thereby avoiding spillage of liquid. The pouring spout of the invention also resolves the problem of emanations related to the transfer of dangerous volatile and highly inflammable liquid.

    • This invention relates to a pump and container apparatus having a pump. The container apparatus has a container housing and a foot pump means for pumping liquid connected to the container housing. The container housing has a storage chamber for storing liquid and an opening through which liquid is added into the storage chamber. The foot pump means has a chamber wall defining a pump chamber with an pump chamber entrance opening and a pump chamber exit opening. The container housing has an exit opening in fluid communication with the pump chamber entrance opening to permit liquid in the storage chamber to be drawn and pumped into the pump chamber through the pump chamber entrance opening and out of the pump chamber through the pump chamber exit opening by operation of the foot pump means. There is a valve means comprising a one-way check valve mounted between the storage chamber and the pump chamber to permit operation of the foot pump means when the storage chamber is under atmospheric pressure, there being an air means to permit the drawing of air into the storage chamber as liquid is being pumped out of the storage chamber by use of the foot pump means.

    • A method and a device for dispensing a fluid are presented. In order to achieve the accuracy of the transfer with regard to the amount while at the same time automating the dispensing operation, it is known to pump the fluid (1) by means of a pump (4) out of a starting container (2) via a feed line (5) into a target container (3), to record the amount of fluid transferred into the target container (3) and, when there is a predetermined amount of fluid in the target container (3), restrict or interrupt the fluid feed to the target container (3) at a first feed restricting point (13) provided between the pump (4) and the target container (3). In order to ensure sterility of the fluid transfer it is proposed to use easily exchangeable fluid lines (5, 7) with a flexible wall material whereby restricting or interrupting the fluid feed is effected by pinching the line wall from the outside, thereby ensuring no direct contact between controlling devices and the fluid. As from a predetermined degree of restriction or when the fluid feed is interrupted, a first branch line (7), branching off from the feed line (5) between the pump (4) and the first feed restricting point (13), is opened at a first branch restricting point (14). With the pump (4) continuing to run, the fluid (1 ) is at least partially discharged via the first branch line (7), for example back into the starting container (2).
