    • The invention relates to an oil reservoir for optimising the oil consumption of an internal combustion engine or a gearbox, especially an automatic gearbox. Said reservoir weighs little and can be produced in such a way that impairment of the reliability of the whole system is virtually nil. The invention also relates to a method for the production of the inventive reservoir. The reservoir is embodied in such a way that the volume flow which can enter it via at least one inlet (8) is always higher than the volume flow which can leave via at least one outlet (12).
