摘要： A wheel rim assembly and components, systems, and methods thereof comprise a rim base (104) having at least one slot (108) at an outer end portion thereof, a bead seat band (120) radially outward of the outer end portion of the rim base, and at least one lock (130) provided in the at least one slot. The bead seat band may is in direct contact with the outer end portion of the rim base. The lock has a first portion (136) that is provided in the slot of the rim base and a second portion (132) that is outside of the slot. The second portion may be adjacent to the bead seat band. The wheel rim assembly may be free of or without a lock ring at the outer end portion of the rim base.

摘要： A wheel nut assembly for fixing a wheel to a vehicle hub which includes a wheel nut with an internal thread; a wheel stud having an external thread to co- operate with the internal thread of said wheel nut and having an end portion adapted to project beyond the wheel nut which end portion includes axial grooves o ribs on its external surface; a retaining cap with internal grooves or ribs complementary to the external ribs or grooves on said wheel stud adapted to fit over said wheel stud and said wheel nut; and means to secure the retaining cap to said wheel nut. The retaining cap prevents rotation of the nut once it has been tightened In some embodiments an aesthetic cover is provided to improve the appearance of the wheel. This aesthetic cover may also be used to lock the retaining cap to the nu and provide an indication that the nut is securely fastened.

摘要： A lock-ring system may include one or more lock-ring sections configured to at least partially define an annular lock-ring and one or more coupler plates configured to couple a first ring section end of a first lock-ring section to either a second ring section end of the first lock-ring section or to a ring section end of a second lock-ring section. The one or more coupler plates may be configured to be received in ring recesses of the one or more lock-ring sections. The one or more coupler plates may be coupled to the one or more ring section ends by fasteners and may be configured to slide relative to the ring recesses when the fasteners are loosened, so that a lock-ring formed by the one or more lock-ring sections may be mounted on, or removed from, a wheel assembly. A handle may be used to assist with maintaining separation of the lock-ring sections during handling and to assist with handling the lock-ring during removal and installation of the lock-ring on a wheel assembly.
