摘要： A tag for use in item authentication is presented. The tag is configured as a clip having two integral clip flaps shiftable from their normally open extended position to a closed, folded position to thereby clamp a thin material of the item between the closed clip flaps. The flaps are formed with a locking mechanism, such that after the mechanism has been locked, opening thereof without breaking is prevented. The tag carries a machine readable unit allowing the tag identification.

摘要： A system and method identify and label livestock products with such information as country, place and date of origin, among other things. In the inventive system and method, a tag is provided with a unique identifier. The tag is inserted into a predetermined meat portion of an animal carcass. The tag remains inserted while the animal carcass is processed. The tag is removed prior to packaging the predetermined meat portion, and a label with another identifier is attached onto the packaged meat portion. The two identifiers are associated with each other, so that the label provides identifying information about the livestock product.

摘要： A microwavable food packaging system includes a tray (12) formed from a base and a sidewall extending from the base which sidewall terminates in a free edge (18). The base and sidewall define an interior cavity. The free edge defines a tray opening. The base has a raised button (64) extending into the cavity (54). A sleeve (14) surrounds the tray. The sleeve includes a front panel having a display surface and is disposed adjacent to the tray opening and a rear panel disposed adjacent to the base. The sleeve (14) adjacent to the base extends outwardly to form a leg (16) upon which the sleeve and tray can be upstandingly placed. The tray is adapted to receive food pouches (66, 68) within the cavity. The raised button (64) stabilizes the center of gravity of the food packaging system when the food packaging system is placed in an upstanding position on the leg. Advantageously, at least one food pouch disposed in the cavity. The tray opening may be covered with the polymeric film (32) that is sufficiently self-supporting to serve as a splatter guard by being placed over the tray opening when the tray is placed into a microwave for heating of food in the tray cavity.
