    • A guide rails splice sleeve device provides for adjustable housing, gripping, and connecting of sequential guide rails. The device includes an elongated central member (1), a first (2) and a second (3) tension bar detachably connected to the central member at opposite ends thereof, and fastening elements (26-29) for securely connecting the first and second tension bars independently to the central member. Advantageously the central member and tension bars have integral flanges (6, 12) to aid in support of the guide rails. The independent connection of each tension bar to the central member permits sequential guide rail segments to be gripped or adjusted independently of the other. Additionally, the sleeve may include a hand tightening device so that the fastening elements may be adjusted without the need for tools. Also, the sleeve may include an extension for spanning any gap between non-abutting ends of adjacent guide rail segments connected by the sleeve.

    • In a shaft coupling comprising a pair of complementally shaped, detachably joinable coupling sleeve halves (11, 12) which can be clamped together by means of clamping elements form a split coupling sleeve provided with at least one seat (14) for a first shaft member (A1) which is to be non-rotatably connected with a second shaft member (A2, A2') so that the first and sec-ond shaft members are aligned. Additionally, when the clamp is loosened, the elastic hinge of the clamping arms cause the clamping arms to pull away from the structural member received in the clamp to fully release the grip of the clamp on the structural member.
