    • An abutment swivel doorstop (10) has a mounting plate (20) mountable onto a door frame (14), a stop member (26) pivotally and slidably mounted on the mounting plate (20), a biaising means (28) for urging the stop member (26) in the disengaged position, a keeper (24) pivotally mounted on the mounting plate (20), and a latch (58) mountable on a door (12) which is hingedly mounted within the door frame (14). The keeper (24) has a cam (46) for urging the stop member (26) against the biaising means (28) and into the engaged condition as the keeper (24) rotates between the locked and unlocked conditions. As the keeper (24) rotates between the locked and unlocked conditions, the stop member (26) engages and disengages the mounting plate (20) and the latch (58) for locking and unlocking the door (12) to the door frame (14).
