    • A coating system for inner wall surfaces of tubes (14) includes flexible hoses (5) each carrying an applicator nozzle (15) through which the coating substance is dispensed. A payout guide assembly (7, 8, 9, 10, 11) feeds the nozzles into a hose reel (4) from which they are unwound through the payout guide (7). The reel (4) can also be driven in reverse for removing the nozzles (15) from the tubes (14) and winding the hoses (5) onto the reel (4). A paint spray system includes a paint pump assembly (16) and a spray gun valve (18) connected between the hose (5) and the paint pump assembly (16). A control system (2, 3) is connected to the payout guide (7), to the hose reel (4), if necessary, and to the spray gun valve (18). The control system coordinates the feeding and removing of the hose (5) into and from the tube (14), as well as the paint application through the spray gun valve (18) and the applicator nozzle (15).

    • The invention relates to apparatuses which are intended for treating the external surface of cylindrical articles, for example, pipes, during the construction and reconstruction thereof, and can be used for applying a coating to the surface of cylindrical articles, in particular, for applying liquid substances - varnishes, paints, glues, solvents and bitumen-based coatings, etc. Furthermore, the cylindrical article can have a definitive length, or can be part of a pipe. The problem addressed by the claimed invention is that of creating a compact apparatus for applying a coating to the surface of pipes, the apparatus having improved technical characteristics and extended functional possibilities. The technical results achievable as a result of carrying out the claimed invention consist in increasing the efficiency of the apparatus, in simplifying the design and reducing the overall dimensions of the apparatus, and also in extending the functional possibilities, in particular by providing for the possibility of applying a coating to the surface of a cylindrical article at locations of a bend and at locations at which access is difficult, including when pipes are arranged at a close distance to facades of buildings or of other surfaces. The apparatus for applying a coating to the surface of cylindrical articles comprises: a detachable coating member comprising at least d rotating rollers which can congruently annularly encompass the periphery of a cylindrical article to be treated; a mechanism for detaching the coating member; a system for feeding the material of the coating to the coating member.

    • An apparatus for the treatment of an exterior pipe surface includes one or more nozzles (9) or other treating means which are carried by a frame (1). The frame (1) can be mounted around the pipe (3) to be treated and is capable of moving along the pipe surface in longitudinal direction thereof, due to the provision of travelling wheels (5A, 5B, 5C). Disclosed are provisions for allowing the apparatus to keep itself in balance on the pipe (3) during operation. Such provisions include detection means (85) (e.g. a pendulum with sensors) for detecting undesired displacements of the frame (1) in circumferential direction of the pipe (3), and control means (such as e.g. hydraulic cylinders (62) with a common system of hydraulic lines (71, 72, 73, 74) and valves) for adjusting the wheel axes of one or more travelling wheels (5A, 5B, 5C) in angular position, in response to a signal delivered by the detection means (85).
