    • 본 발명은 컴퓨터의 전원이 '오프'되거나 절전모드 시 주변 기기( 프린터 모니터, 스피커 등)의 대기전력을 차단하는 콘센트장치 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다. 종래의 컴퓨터주변기기는 컴퓨터가 절전모드가 되면 절전을 위해 모니터의 화면을 꺼서 소비전력을 줄여 약 15W 정도가 소비되고 컴퓨터가 전원 '오프' 되면 모니터의 기능을 정지하고 대기상태가 되는데 이때 소비되는 대기전력은 통상 4W정도 낭비된다. 또한 프린터는 항상 4W정도 전력이 소모되고 있다. 본 발명은 컴퓨터의 절전모드시나 전원 '오프'시 컴퓨터 주변기기의 전원을 차단하여 낭비되는 소비전력과 낭비되는 대기전력을 플러그를 빼지 않고도 제로로 하고 콘세트 자체 소비전력도 완전히 차단하여 전기요금을 줄이고 불필요한 전력생산으로 발생되는 CO2의 과다 배출을 억제하여 환경 오염을 줄일 수 있도록 한다.

    • The invention relates to a computer system for control of peripheral hardware devices comprising - at least one central base connectable to at least one peripheral hardware device, - at least one portable computer, providing a main computer screen and keyboard operation facilities, connectable to said central base, - at least one control device related to said portable computer for control of said at least one peripheral hardware device via said central base, comprising a separate monitor means for providing a visual output from said control device to the user of the portable computer. The present invention presents a very advantageous system for easy utilization of peripheral hardware devices typically located in an office. The invention provides an improved system for combination using a portable computer or laptop and the use of the home office with several peripheral hardware devices such as printer, scanner, external monitor, mouse, keyboard, webcam, etc. The invention furthermore presents an improved way of controlling the peripheral hardware devices by means of a control device which in an embodiment of the invention comprises a touch screen also called a touch-sensitive screen. This is a very advantageous feature of the invention in that the control device constitutes a quick and easy used shortcut to several facilities. Thus, by using the control station, a user may take over the control of the laptop and the peripheral hardware devices. Moreover, the invention relates to a computer system for power-control of peripheral hardware devices.
