    • A compound resonance driver or CRD may be used to enhance the tonal qualities of a bass drum system or other sound system. A CRD may comprise a flex ring having two hinge pieces. The flex ring may further comprise a plurality of magnets and the flex ring may be easily folded and placed in a drum and then unfolded. A fixed circular component with a complementary magnet orientation may secure the flex ring. The fixed circular component may be attached to outwardly facing components that resonate or otherwise improve upon the sound of a drum or any sound producing, or sound shaping device or instrument, encompassing properties of an acoustic enclosure. The mass and shape of the CRD may increase the excursion of a drumhead. This longer excursion produces a more natural low frequency waveform.

    • A wave-guide acoustic transformer is described, comprising: a membrane (4) having a cylindrical shape open at its sides, used as sound wave guide and omnidirectional acoustic passive radiator, a loudspeaker (3) adapted to send sound waves (7) inside the cylindrical membrane (4), an acoustically reflecting circular plug (5), a gasket (6) with the housings of the screws to be used for supporting the loudspeaker; the cylindrical membrane (4) receives energy only from the sound wave fronts traveling in the internal air volume and has a strongly anisotropic modulus of elasticity in parallel with the cylinder axis and along the circumference of the cylinder itself, the internal sound waves (7) not modifying the length of the cylinder since, along the axis, the elastic constant is very high, the internal sound waves (7) themselves being adapted to modify the circumference of the cylindrical membrane (4) since, along the circumference, the elastic constant is much lower.

    • This invention discloses a kind of speaker structure with a loading hole. A characteristic is that it includes an active cavity that has a cone hole and a loading hole; a loudspeaker is sealed and secured on the said cone hole; the said active cavity is connected to the outside air through the said loading hole; the cone of the said loudspeaker has one side which is connected to the free space; another characteristic of this invention is that it includes a driven cavity that is connected to the said active cavity through the said loading hole; the cross-sectional area of the said loading hole is smaller than the cross- sectional area of the air passage on its either side; further, it is not larger than 2/3 the effective area of all the vibration units in the said active cavity; also, the volume of the said active cavity does not exceed half the total volume of the said active cavity and driven cavity. The loading hole constitutes a loading component which improves the transient response of the speaker body. To a great extent, it solves the contradiction between frequency response and transient effect at low sound frequencies. It lowers the requirements for the loudspeaker and simultaneously allows the frequency response and transient effect for the entire system at low sound frequencies to be handled relatively independently. This causes the loudspeaker cost to be reduced.

    • This invention discloses a kind of modular speaker component. A characteristic is that it includes a fixed part. This fixed part has a thin-walled structure. An active loudspeaker unit and passive diaphragm units are installed on it. Another characteristic is that it includes a sealed connection part. This sealed connection part is fixed on the said fixed part and it has sealing material; the said sealed connection part aligns, connects and secures the said fixed part to the opening of a rigid container. This causes the said fixed part and the rigid container to jointly form an airtight resonant space. The fixed part integrates the active loudspeaker unit and passive diaphragm units on top and combines with the sealed connection part fixed on it to form overall a universal high sound quality module that is unaffected by the rigid container. In a plan based on a small volume, it can also exhibit outstanding performance at medium and low frequencies; it can very conveniently form a complete high performance speaker with the rigid container, and satisfy the shape constraint requirements for the speaker in various application environments with different styles.
