    • A toll call service center accessible by subscribers to the service. Command system (10) also includes an announcing circuit and a processor (30). Processor (30) is responsive to reception of an incoming call from a subscriber for controlling the announcing circuit to request the subscriber to speak an identifier associated with one of the plurality of called stations. A voice recognizer (48) is responsive to receipt of the identifier for determining whether the identifier is valid. If the identifier is recognized as belonging to the subscriber, the processor controls an outdialer (24) to dial the telephone number of the called station associated with the identifier.

A voice communication method according to the present invention comprises the steps of receiving communication information including location information and a voice channel receiving port from a user; storing the communication information in a communication database in association with the user; deciding a member corresponding to one session among users according to a predetermined criterion; searching the communication information related to the member from the communication database; generating session information including the communication information related to the member and then storing the generated session information in a session database; receiving voice signals from a member having the right to speak among the members and then copying the received voice signals; and transmitting the copied voice signals to members except a member having the right to speak based on the session information.

    • When a calling subscriber number is transmitted from an exchange to a subscriber terminal in present telephone systems, the same signalling technique, i.e. either modem signalling or DTMF signalling, is always used. Because of this, the calling number delivery service can be used only by those subscriber terminals which use the same signalling technique as the exchange. The problem is solved by providing a special file in the exchange, the file containing the signalling parameters of different types of number display units, such as the signalling protocol, transmission moment and sequences of characters sent in different cases. When a call is being set up, the type of the display unit that the subscriber uses is read from the subscriber file, the parameters of the equipment are read from said special file, and the calling subscriber number is then transmitted using these parameters. It is thereby possible to connect equipment of any manufacturer to the exchange.

    • The invention relates to the remote control of communications equipment, in particular to the way in which remote control data are included in a data stream communicated by a communications device. The idea of the invention is to utilize existing cross-connecting structures found in a cross-connecting circuit in the transmission of a control channel. The cross-connecting circuit according to the invention uses individual switching definition for each bit. In the cross-connecting circuit according to the invention the control channel data can be included in the outgoing data stream using a special bit-specific instruction which connects one bit from an internal intermediate register in the circuit. Since the instruction is bit-specific, the control channel capacity can in principle be any number of bits.
