    • There is provided an electrical device assembly comprising an electrical device box (14) and a mounting bracket (10) to which the box (14) is attached. Projection members (82) on the box (14) ensure that the box (14) is properly located on the bracket (10). The location of the box (14) on the bracket (10) is adjustable along the length of the box (14) as a result of a longitudinal slot (166, 170, 174) in the bracket (10). The bracket (10) may be located in different positions on a support structure (138) in a building without having to first measure a location for the bracket (10) because the bracket (10) includes at least one removable location tab (178) which has a length substantially equal to the thickness of a wall structure in which the box (14) is placed. The tab (178) is aligned with the support structure (138), or if the tab (178) is removed a portion of the bracket (10) is aligned with the support structure (138), so that an open face of the box (14) will be flush with either a drywall surface (tabs intact) or a drywall surface with panelling (tabs removed).

In some embodiments, the fastener holding bracket includes an attaching portion configured to attach the fastener holding bracket to a mounting tab; and a holding structure attached to the bracket configured to hold a fastener when the fastener is placed in the holding structure. In accordance with yet another embodiment of the present invention, a method of positioning a fastener with a mounting tab is provided. In some embodiments, the method includes aligning fastener holding structure on a fastener holding bracket to a hole on a mounting tab; and positing a fastener in the fastener holding structure.
