    • A network plug terminating a cable and configured for mating with a socket, and comprising a plurality of terminal contacts disposed along a forward face thereof, each of the terminal contacts terminating a respective one of a plurality of twisted pairs of conductors and such that when the plug is inserted into the socket each of the terminal contacts comes into contact with a respective tine in the socket.     • An assembly comprises a connector and a sleeve. The connector includes a resilient locking member movable between an outwardly disposed locked position and an inwardly disposed unlocked position. The resilient locking member includes a button portion and a locking projection. A sleeve includes an aperture capable of engaging with the button portion of the resilient locking member. The sleeve is capable of sliding along the body of the connector and pushing down the button portion to unlock the resilient locking member so as to disengage the connector from its receptacle. The assembly further comprises a pair of stoppers provided on the sleeve and a pair of grooves provided on the connector. The pair of stoppers is engagable with the corresponding pair of grooves so that the connector is pulled out from the receptacle when a user continues to pull the sleeve backward after unlocking the resilient locking member.

    • An electrical plug having an extraction component that may be collapsed to decrease the profile of the plug and may be retracted to increase the profile of the plug. Increasing the profile of the plug increases the graspable area of the plug, making it easier to extract the plug from an outlet socket. The extraction component may be a slidable cover substantially surrounding a housing holding the pins and wiring of the plug within an overmold. The extraction component may also be a slidable cap connected to a pin bridge surrounded by an overmold. Openings formed within the pin bridge include a stopper that limits the retraction of the extraction component. The extraction components include a number of snap-fit pins that are each inserted into the openings beyond the stoppers, at which point the snap-fit ends of the pins expand and hold pins within the openings.

    • A connector system (100) includes a base mount (160) and a slider latch (122) received in the base mount. The slider latch has a profiled groove (192) configured to latchably receive a cam (150) of a connector module (106). A faceplate (164) is coupled to the base mount. The faceplate has an opening providing access to the slider latch. An ejector button (166) is operatively coupled to the slider latch to move the slider latch from a latched position to an unlatched position. The slider latch is configured to eject the connector module as the slider latch moves between the latched and unlatched positions. A spring (168) engages the slider latch and acts on the slider latch in a biasing direction. The spring forces the slider latch to return to the latched position after the ejector button is released.
