    • Aspects of this disclosure relate to an array calibration system and method using probes disposed between antenna elements. In certain embodiments, the calibration is performed by measuring near-field relative phase and amplitude measurements of the antenna elements and using such relative measurements to adjust the amplitude and phase of the transceivers connected to the antenna elements. In some embodiments, each antenna element within a set of antenna elements transmits a signal that is received by a single probe, and the received signals are assessed to determine relative phase or amplitude measurements. In some embodiments, a single probe transmits a signal that is received by each antenna element within a set of antenna elements, and the received signals are assessed to determine relative phase and amplitude measurements.

    • A method of calibrating transmit and/or receive paths of an antenna comprising at least two antenna columns, each of which comprising two co-located sub-arrays of antenna elements, one sub-array comprising at least one antenna element with a first polarization and one sub-array comprising at least one antenna element with a second polarization, and each said antenna element being connected to a respective transceiver device via a respective feeder network. The method includes the steps of transmitting (S1) a measurement signal on at least one of the antenna elements, and receiving (S2) a representation of the measurement signal on at least one other of the antenna elements, the representation comprising at least a mutual coupling component dependent on the mutual coupling between the at least one antenna element and the at least one other antenna element. Further, the method includes the steps of repeating (S3) the transmitting and receiving step for at least a subset of all combinations of antenna elements of the antenna, wherein each combination of antenna elements comprises antenna elements has a same or different polarization, and subsequently comparing (S4) the received representations of the measurement signal between different combinations of antenna elements, and estimating (S5) at least a respective phase difference between antenna elements with the same polarization based on the comparison. Finally, the method includes the step of calibrating (S6) transmit and/or receive paths of antenna elements with the same polarization based on the estimated phase difference.

    • System and method for confirming radio frequency (RF) signal connections with multiple devices under test (DUTs) tested concurrently using replicas of a RF test signal. Cabled signal connections between the signal source and the DUTs are monitored by sensing levels of outgoing and related reflection RF signals. These signal levels are compared against similar signal levels when the outgoing RF signals are provided to reference impedances. Alternatively, the cabled signal connections have lengths of known signal wavelengths and the RF test signal frequency is swept such that minimum and maximum time delays between the outgoing and reflection RF signals go through minimum and maximum signal cycles with a difference of at least one full cycle. The reflection RF signal magnitude and phase are monitored, from which peak and valley signal level differences and phase changes are identified to determine return loss and phase changes indicative of DUT connection.
