摘要： A fiber connector assembly is provided. The fiber connector assembly includes a fiber connector, a zig-zag member, a signal direction element, and a signal splitting element. The fiber connector receives an input signal from an input fiber. The zig-zag member relays the input signal using a plurality of relay mirrors. The signal direction element directs the input signal and the output signal. The signal splitting element separates the output signal from the input signal. The fiber connector couples the output signal to an output fiber.

摘要： A bi-directional fiber optic jumper that connects two fiber optic system common wavelength fibers is disclosed. The retraction of the jumper exposes fiber connections and enables a system reconfiguration such as adding or dropping of common wavelengths into open fiber connections. A magnet is provided in the chassis of the jumper to engage a magneto-resistive device, such as a Hall effect sensor feature, that is contained on an optical add/drop device product chassis. The Hall effect sensor facilitates monitoring of insertion or withdrawal of the fiber channel jumper from the optical add/drop device.

The loop back connector includes a ferrule having an interface side constructed for optical connection to a multifiber optical cable. The loop back connector also includes first and second optical loop back paths, each having first and second terminal ends positioned at the interface side. The terminal ends of each loop back path are adapted to be aligned to fibers in the multifiber optical cable. The method includes injecting a signal on a first optical path at a first location, looping back the signal at a second location onto a second optical path, and receiving the signal on the second optical path at the first location.

The breakout connector has first and second ends, the first end having a multifiber connector for an optical ribbon, and the second end having a plurality of single port connectors. A fiber breakout separates the optical ribbon into a plurality of fibers.
