An apparatus according to the invention may therefore designed in a simple and reliable way as it is not necessary to perform a turning movement of the sampling cup in order to empty it. Preferably, the sampling cup is emptied by opening the bottom and subsequently cleaning the cup with open bottom. Emptying of the cup is advantageously effected in the product flow, but may also occur in a separate duct for the purpose.
