摘要： A networked battle system includes a communication network, a first rifle and a sensor pack attached to the rifle that includes a sensor for determining a bearing of the first rifle, a sensor for an accelerometer and a rate gyroscope. The system also includes a communication element coupled to the rifle allowing the sensor pack to provide sensor information to the communication network, a battle management system in communication with the first rifle through the communication network that receives the sensor information from the sensor pack updates a battle plan based on the sensor information to form an updated battle plan and a heads up display unit at least in operative communication with the communication network and the communication element and that displays the updated battle plan to a user.

摘要： Techniques are disclosed for laser-based target locating for measuring and displaying absolute coordinates (e.g., Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates) for a target. Techniques include determining absolute coordinates of a laser-based target locator, and using range and other measurements (e.g., compass heading, tilt, and/or the like) to determine the absolute coordinates of a target. The laser-based target locator can then display the absolute coordinates to a user. Sensors providing the other measurements may be calibrated by first determining the absolute coordinates of an optical tag, which may be optically communicated to the laser-based target locator.

摘要： A gun sight for use with a weapon configured for super elevation is disclosed herein. The gun sight includes, but is not limited to, an imaging system that is configured for rotation. The gun sight further includes a drive mechanism that associated with the imaging system and that is configured to rotate the imaging system. The gun sight further includes a gyroscope associated with one of the weapon and the imaging system. The gun sight still further includes a processor that is communicatively coupled with the drive mechanism and the gyroscope. The processor is configured to control the drive mechanism to rotate the imaging system in a manner that causes the imaging system to maintain an initial angular orientation based on information provided by the gyroscope when the weapon is superelevated.
