    • An actuator (1) for controlling a valve having a valve rod is provided. The actuator comprises a manual override arrangement for manually moving said actuator spindle (3), the manual override arrangement comprising a locking element (80), an actuator spindle holder (70) housing at least a portion of an actuator spindle. A guiding arrangement (92, 94) is adapted to guide the actuator spindle along the actuator spindle holder. In a normal operating mode the actuator spindle holder is locked to said locking element, and said actuator spindle is guidable along said actuator spindle holder via said guiding arrangement. In a manual override operating mode, said actuator spindle holder is unlocked from said locking element, and said actuator spindle holder is rotatable together with said actuator spindle via said guiding arrangement.

    • The valve operator assembly is provided for a valve and comprises a housing (14), an input member (16) rotatably mounted with respect to said housing, and a transmission mechanism comprising a rotating screw (24) provided with an outer thread (26) and a translating nut (28) surrounding and coaxial with said screw, said nut being provided with an inner thread (30), said transmission mechanism being adapted to convert rotation of said screw into axial translation of said nut. The input member (16) is mounted on the rotating screw (24). The assembly further comprises an outer translating sleeve (20) radially disposed between the housing (14) and the translating nut (28) and adapted to be connected to the valve translating member of the valve. Said outer translating sleeve (20) is provided with an inner thread (50) and is connected to said translating nut so as to slide relative to the housing (14) when the rotating screw (24) rotates.

    • An example shut-off device includes an upper valve body, and a lower valve body. The lower valve body connects to the upper valve body to surround a section of a pipe to form a chamber therein. A cutting blade in the chamber is tightening against the pipe to cut through the pipe and at least partially seal an opening in the cut pipe. Following a repair to the pipe, the cutting blade may be operated as a gate valve, opening to permit fluid flow through the pipe, and closing to at least partially restrict or fully stop fluid flow through the pipe. Also disclosed is an emergency repair for a pipe including a sleeve housing configured to be opened and closed around a portion of a pipe to be repaired, and a tightening mechanism configured to reduce an inner diameter and tighten against the pipe to be repaired.
