    • A facade / wall system comprises a number of modules. Each module comprises a plurality of insulating panels (1) which have connection means on opposite sides thereof for interengaging the panels (1) together at joints (2) between the panels (1). Reinforcing elements in the form of top hat sections (3) bridge the joints (2) between adjacent panels (1). The top hat reinforcement elements used to interconnect adjacent panels in a module ensure that the composite panels act together as monolithic structure that creates a diaphragm whilst providing a surface to which cladding can be fixed and also providing a cavity between the panels and the cladding attached to the modules. They stiffen the panels and thereby enhance resistance to deflection. The reinforced panels create a wall that distributes its own self weight, as a diaphragm, to the points of no deflection, at the building columns. The modules are pre-fabricated and readily craned into position on site, allowing the building to be rendered weather resistant by mounting the modules in place from the inside of the building. The system is cost effective and relatively easy and quick to install.

    • The invention relates to a sealing arrangement in connection with sandwich elements (1, 2, 1a, 2a), said elements comprising an elastic core section (10, 11) of mineral wool and surface plates (16, 17) covering the same on either side, said surface plates having one lengthwise edge thereof provided with a tongue (4) and its opposite edge with a groove (3), whereby short sides (18-21) between the tongue-and-groove edges are straight. The sealing arrangement comprises a masking strip (7), which covers a connecting joint (12) between the adjacent elements (1, 2; 1a, 2a) affixed to each other over said short straight sides thereof and which extends across said seam groove (9) so as toleave between the masking strip and the seam groove bottom a gap to be sealed. The sealing arrangement comprises a sealing member (5), which is substantially complementary to the cross-section of said gap and whichis integrated with a sheet-like bracket member (6), said bracket member being designed to be complementary to the tongue (4) for suspending the same upon the tongue. Upon fitting the groove of an adjacent element on top of the tongue, the bracket member clamps in place between the tongue and groove. The masking strip (7) covering the connecting joint (12) between the short sides (19-21) is settable in a sealing relationship against the previously set sealing member (5).
