    • Described herein are apparatus, systems and methods useful in forming underground vertical structures. Methods are described for constructing an underground vertical structure, comprising the steps of excavating soil to a sufficient depth to create a circular void to accommodate a plurality of segments; assembling a ring shaped structure comprising the plurality of segments; connecting the outside surface of the ring shaped structure with the soil in said circular void, thereby securing the ring shaped structure to the soil; excavating earth beneath the ring shaped structure to accommodate a second ring shaped structure; and repeating steps b-d thereby forming one or more additional ring shaped structures downward into the earth below already formed ring shaped structures until a predetermined depth is reached; thereby forming the underground vertical structure. Systems to perform the above methods are also disclosed.

    • A structural member and method of constructing a wall structure in the ground using the structural member is provided. The structural member includes a shield removably coupled to a structural beam so that a chamber is defined between the shield and the structural beam. The shield member is configured to be removable when the structural member is in the ground. Components disposed in the chamber are protected during construction of the wall structure and are exposed when needed in a specific stage of construction. The components can be pre-attached to the structural beam and may include reinforcing bars to provide reinforcement continuity to the wall structure. The components may also include water stops to inhibit water flow through the wall structure. Methods constructing a wall structure in the ground using the structural member and for constructing an extended wall structure in the ground using the structural member are provided.

    • The present invention relates to a method for constructing an environment-friendly retaining wall and a retaining wall constructed by the method. The method for constructing a retaining wall, according to the present invention, comprises: (a) a steel material installation step for forming a plurality of bored holes to be spaced from each other by excavating the ground along the boundary of an area on which a structure is to be built, and inserting steel materials into the bored holes; (b) a wall forming step for forming a continuous cement wall behind the area on which the steel materials are arranged, wherein a cement stabilizer is injected in any one step of pullout steps, after inserting excavation equipment underground until a design depth, so as to be mixed with the soil of the excavated ground, thereby forming the continuous cement wall by hardening the cement stabilizer; and (c) a wale installation step for installing wales for connecting the steel materials to each other.
