摘要： This invention generally relates to a composition and method for inducing the expansion and/or regeneration of CD34-positive adult stem cell population, which is useful for developing drugs/vaccines and/or therapies against a variety of ageing-related degenerative diseases in humans. Also, the present invention teaches the production and purification methods required for making high quality and high quantity of small hairpin-like RNA (shRNA) compositions, such as microRNA precursors (pri-miRNA and pre-miRNA) and short interfering RNAs (siRNA), which are useful for treating human ageing-related diseases, such as, but not limited, Alzheimer's diseases, Parkinson's diseases, osteoporosis, diabetes, and cancers. The resulting shRNAs, preferably pre-miRNAs, are useful for developing therapeutic drugs against human degenerative diseases, particularly through a mechanism to induce CD34-positive stem cell expansion and/or regeneration.

摘要： The present invention relates to a composition comprising a repressor of mitofusin gene expression, an inhibitor of mitofusin protein activity, or a mixture thereof as an active ingredient for promoting reprogramming a differentiated cell into a pluripotent stem cell, and a use thereof. The composition according to the present invention increases the efficiency of reprogramming as well as reduces the time required for reprogramming to produce pluripotent stem cells. Therefore, the present composition can be beneficially used to develop the production technology of high efficiency pluripotent stem cell and secure a large-scale culture system. Further, the present composition can be beneficially used to maintain pluripotent stem cells and screen the compounds capable of promoting the reprogramming into pluripotent stem cells.

The invention also provides in certain embodiments, a method of generating a re-programed differentiated epithelial cell comprising (a) contacting a non-stem somatic cell obtained from a subject with an effective amount of a de-differentiation agent to form a de-differentiated cell, and (b) contacting the de-differentiated cell with a conversion agent to form a re-programed differentiated cell. The invention provides in certain embodiments, re-programed differentiated epithelial cells, and methods of using these re-programed differentiated epithelial cells to repair or re-generate tissue in vivo.

摘要： This invention relates to pro-tolerogenic preparations capable of increasing the level of regulatory T cells (Treg) and/or decreasing the level of pro-inflammatory T cells (Th17) to induce anergy or immune tolerance.
