摘要： A cleanable frame and a method for making a cleanable frame having a simplified frame design. A hygienic conveyor frame assembly comprises a plurality of hollow tubular sections joined together to form an evacuated, sealed conveyor frame support structure that functions as a sterilization zone. An integral carryway is placed on the support structure. Lifters coupled to the conveyor frame can lift the carryway and conveyor belt for cleaning. Infeed and outfeed assemblies are also movable between operating and cleaning positions. A sensor can monitor the conditions of the frame interior to ensure that the vacuum is maintained and initiate a corrective action if the vacuum seal is breached.

The barrier (9) comprises an end portion (10) closely spaced from the conveyor belt (7) and facing, under the conditions of use of the conveyor (1), the top of this latter. The protection device (8) is movable with respect to the supporting frame (2) between a normal operative condition in which the end portion (10) of the barrier (9) is closely spaced from the conveyor belt (7) and a safety condition in which the end portion (10) of the barrier (9) is spaced from the conveyor belt (7), and viceversa.

摘要： A skate-wheel conveyor converted into a belt conveyor, a kit including components for the conversion, and a method for carrying out the conversion. C-shaped collars having an open neck are slipped onto the skate wheels of an existing skate-wheel conveyor. The gap across the neck is narrower than the diameter of the skate wheel. Support surfaces at the ends of the C-shaped collars across the gaps support the bases of wear surfaces, such as wear strips, that form a conveyor carryway to support a conveyor belt. Fasteners retain the wear strips in place, bridging the gaps in the collars to surround the skate wheels in a secure connection.
