The weight exercise machine comprises a frame bearing a seat for an exerciser, the seat fastened to the frame; a touch screen connected with a control unit for controlling training modes and monitoring training parameters; an actuator controlled by the control unit; and an interface interacting with the exerciser. 摘要： A device that assists a person in performing an exercise such as pedaling a stationary bicycle, where the person is confronted by a problem of a leg weakened from a neurological condition where the upper leg and knee tend to fall laterally thus preventing the person from smoothly pedaling the bicycle. The device comprises first and second flexible and adjustable cuffs of a size to fit around the thighs of the afflicted person and each having integrated therewith connecting links that are connected by a flexible elongate band. This allows the afflicted person to maintain alignment of the upper and lower legs approximately equidistant from each other and parallel to the person's median plane while pedaling a stationary bicycle. The device allows the person to overcome the leg flop problem and pedal the bicycle without being interrupted by his or her knee and upper thigh flopping to the lateral side. Also disclosed is a method for making and using the device.

The lifting mechanism includes a foot plate, an ankle pad, and a foot pad. The lifting mechanism also includes a lifting assist mechanism, such as a spring or gas shock. The counter balance assembly partially balances a body weight of a user as the body support assembly is pivoted from the downward position to the top position. A method of using an exercise machine includes stepping onto the foot plate and securing the back of a user's foot against the ankle pad, releasing the lift assist mechanism, and bringing the foot plate to the toe pad.
