摘要： A method of manufacturing an undergarment includes moving a web of body panel material in a longitudinal machine direction and cutting the web of body panel material along the longitudinal machine direction to thereby form a rear body panel web and a front body panel web each having a maximum rise and a minimum rise respectively. The maximum rise of each of the rear and front body panel webs is greater than the minimum rise of a corresponding one of the rear and front body panel webs. The method further includes shifting at least one of the rear and front body panel webs in the longitudinal machine direction and thereby aligning the maximum rises of the rear and front body panel webs. The method further includes aligning a s crotch member with the maximum rises of the rear and front body panel webs and connecting the crotch member to the front and rear body panels. The crotch member includes at least one stretchable component including an elastic material. A disposable undergarment is also provided.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method of making improved polyolefinic elastic articles from cured, irradiated or cross-linked amorphous ethylene interpolymers. In particular, the invention relates to a method of making a shaped article (for example, film or fiber) characterized by improved elevated temperature elasticity as well as washability and dryability. The inventive elastic article comprises a substantially cured, irradiated, cross-linked (or curable, irradiated or cross-linkable) homogeneously branched ethylene interpolymer characterized as having a density less than 0.90 g/cm and containing at least one nitrogen-containing stabilizer. The improved elastic article of the present invention is particularly suitable for use in applications where good elasticity must be maintained at elevated temperatures and after laundering such as, for example, elastic waist bands of undergarments and other clothing.

摘要： The present invention relates to breathable absorbent articles like baby diapers, adult incontinence articles and in particular to sanitary napkins or pantyliner. According to the present invention, the articles are provided with an apertured backsheet for breathability. Typically such aperture backsheets are rendered substantially liquid impermeable in order to prevent soiling through the backsheet of the article. The absorbent core of absorbent article comprises in particular super-absorbent materials which transform the absolved liquid into a solid or semi-solid form such as a gel. Such super-absorbent materials are particularly desirable for benefits to the breathable absorbent articles in which they are used. However, they are typically provided in granular form. In combination with an apertured backsheet this form is prone to a particle loss through the apertures in the backsheet. Hence the present invention relates to breathable absorbent articles comprising non-granular super-absorbent material, preferably fibrous super-absorbent material.

摘要： A fluid absorbent sanitary article, such as pantiliner, is provided for use with a panty garment. The liner is attachable to the panty crotch by means of adhesive. The liner is elastic in at least one direction, has a thickness of less than 2mm, and is flexible. The liner is composed of a layer of absorbent material joined by an adhesive connection face-to-face with a backsheet, and optionally by a further adhesive connection to a topsheet. At least one of the components of the pantiliner is eleastic, any inelastic components being stretchable. Preferably, at least one of the adhesive connections is elastic. The liner has a low pad set. A stretchable adhesive is applied to a major portion of the surface of the article for adhesive attachment of the article to an undergarment, the adhesive extending at least substantially to its perimeter over a major portion of the perimeter. Alternatively, a stretchable adhesive is applied to a major portion of the surface of the article, the adhesive extending at least substantially to its perimeter over a major portion of the perimeter.
