摘要： Systems, devices, and methods for treating a glaucomatous eye are provided. Embodiments may provide a treatment probe for treating an eye of a patient. The treatment probe may have an elongate body with a contact surface at a distal end of the elongate body. A treatment fiber or light source may be housed in the treatment probe and may be configured to direct treatment energy from the contact surface. The contact surface may be configured to couple to a surface of the eye to deliver the energy into the target area. In many embodiments the contact surface may have a convex configuration with a rounded outer shape and edge that facilitates the sweeping of the probe surface across the eye during treatment delivery. In some embodiments the probe may be swept in arc motions while delivering treatment energy to the eye.

摘要： A fluid jet is directed at tissue to erode tissue with a controlled amount of ablative energy of a jet. Embodiments as described herein can provide controlled removal of ocular tissue, and can remove a pre-defined volume having a pre-determined shape, for example. The accurate tissue removal as described herein can have many applications, such as removal of the lens for cataract surgery to more completely remove the cortex and nucleus of the lens and to separate layers of the lens. The length of an ablation depth extending from an opening that releases the jet can be controlled, and the angle and longitudinal position of the opening can be controlled together, in order to ablate a pre-determined volume of tissue having the surface profile.

摘要： The present invention generally relates systems, methods, and devices for treating an eye of a patient. In some embodiments, a system may be provided that includes a console for generating a treatment laser and an illumination light. The system may further include a treatment probe for delivering the illumination light to an eye so as to illuminate the ciliary process of the eye. With the illuminated ciliary process, the treatment probe may be aligned to deliver the treatment laser from the console to the ciliary process of the eye for the purpose of treating a patient for glaucoma. In some embodiments, a treatment probe may be provided with an illumination fiber for delivering light to specific portions of the eye or at desired angles in order to illuminate the ciliary process. In some embodiments a treatment probe may be configured to cooperate with a removable light pen for eye illumination.

摘要： The present invention relates to a portable endoscope system and, more specifically, to an endoscope system having a handle and a probe detachably provided at the handle, comprising: a lighting unit using an LED as a light source such that a light irradiates towards a front side thereof; an imaging unit for forming an image of the forward light irradiated by the lighting unit so as to display the image on an external imaging apparatus; and a laser unit for carrying out treatment on an affected part displayed on the imaging unit, wherein the lighting unit, the imaging unit, and the laser unit are provided to be integrated with the handle. According to the present invention, since there is no need for a separate external imaging apparatus except for a monitor or the like, the endoscope system can be used regardless of the location and is easy to carry. Furthermore, the endoscope system is manufactured in a compact shape and size, thereby providing a functional effect for facilitating the operation thereof.

摘要： An imaging system includes an eye interface device, a scanning assembly, a beam source, a free-floating mechanism, and a detection assembly. The eye interface device interfaces with an eye. The scanning assembly supports the eye interface device and scans a focal point of an electromagnetic radiation beam within the eye. The beam source generates the electromagnetic radiation beam. The free-floating mechanism supports the scanning assembly and accommodates movement of the eye and provides a variable optical path for the electronic radiation beam and a portion of the electronic radiation beam reflected from the focal point location. The variable optical path is disposed between the beam source and the scanner and has an optical path length that varies to accommodate movement of the eye. The detection assembly generates a signal indicative of intensity of a portion of the electromagnetic radiation beam reflected from the focal point location.

摘要： Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system of treating intraocular pressure. Laser light is directed to the ciliary region of the target eye. The light stimulates the ciliary region and ablates debris lodged therein. An immune response may be triggered by the stimulation of the ciliary body. Intraocular pressure is reduced by the increase in aqueous flow from the anterior chamber in the eye permitted by the resultant removal of debris blocking the uveo-scleral outflow pathway.
