    • Film bags are dispensed from a container having an opening. Each of the film bags has a dispensed portion and a remaining portion and includes front and rear walls joined at their first and second side edges. The walls are sealed at the bottom edges and have a top edge. An upper portion of the bags is penetrated by two openings. The openings surround a center portion that extends upwardly toward to join the remaining portion formed by the openings and the top edges. The remaining portion has at least one frangible attachment to the dispensed portion. An optional bag stack insert has a notch at a first end that aligns with the opening. Each bag stack is secured to an insert with a lower end of the stack folded under the first end and the stack inserted into the container with the folded stack portion located adjacent the opening.

The rack includes a pair of handle mounting arms for mounting a pack of T-shirt bags, the arms having an upwardly extending portion which lifts the bags and increases their perceived volume as they are being loaded. The arms also include a stopper for preventing removal of successive bags as the lead bag is removed. A side- mounted bag dispenser for mounting a second pack of T-shirt bags can be selectively attached to the rack. The dispenser includes a handle support arm which supports the bags as they are loaded.

    • A bag dispenser (10), for separating and dispensing plastic bags (22, 23) from a roll of bags (20) where one end is attached to the top of the next bag by perforation lines (24) with a slot (25) therebetween. The bags (22, 23) are dispensed from a device (30) comprising a wire frame formed into arcuate channels (34, 34') to support the core (26) that the series of bags are rolled onto. The dispenser (10) includes a second tensioning member (40, 40') attached to a support member (32) and disposed at an angle thereto to provide tension to the edges of the roll of bags (20) as the core passes (26) through the channel passageway as bags are removed from the roll. Spaced apart from the support is a symmetric separating tongue (42). The tongue (42) will engage the slot (25) regardless of whether the bags are drawn over or under the tongue (42). As the user pulls on the bags (22, 23), a tension is created by the brake and the user to deflect the tongue (42) which remains deflected until the tongue (42) engages the slot (25). Thus, when the separator engages the slot (25), the tongue (42) recoils through its normal position to facilitate the separation of the two bags (22, 23). The dispenser (10) may also include core retaining members (38), located at the closed end of the arcuate channels (34) to keep the core (26) of smaller rolls from popping out and to retard rotation of the core.
