The rigid heel assembly has a cavity with an open end. The cavity houses an audio transmission assembly that includes a transmitter. 摘要： An athletic performance and entertainment device for use on footwear, for example, children shoes. More particularly, an entertainment device which can be attached to the tongue-area of a shoe for providing feedback to a user based on the user's performance during a selected physical activity. The user selects which activity he or she whishes to perform and presses the appropriate function button on the device. The wearer then performs the selected physical activity and the wearer's performance level is indicated by LEDs disposed on the device. A speaker may also be disposed on the device to provide audible feedback to the user. The device keeps track of improvements in performance by promoting the wearer through various award levels as performance increases, until all award levels have been mastered. A novel closure system according to the present invention allows the device of the present invention to be disposed on the tongue of an article of footwear so that the closure system does not obstruct the wearer's view of the device.

摘要： A training shoe is disclosed. The shoe, preferably a soft shoe such as a slipper is designed to emit audio and/or physical stimuli which assists the user in learning dance or other steps. The shoe comprises electromechanical members (64) which are responsive to electrical output signals to control movement to guide a user to perform the appropriate dance steps. In preferred embodiments, the shoe also comprises a loudspeaker (62) through which music is played. In alternate embodiments, the electromechanical members are responsive to audio stimuli such as the music from the loudspeaker on the shoe or from other musical sources.

The invention is applied for children's shoes and for adults' shoes, and with respect to adults, is therapeutic in re-teaching stroke and head trauma victims how to tie their shoes. 摘要： The multisensor system (5) for the blind includes a cane (30), a boot (38), a headband (46), and a central control device (2). The cane (30), the boot (38), and the headband (46) may each include one or more sensors (4, 6, 8) to detect obstructions in the path of the user. Each sensor (4, 6, 8) may be configured to detect obstructions at a level corresponding generally to an elevation at which it is carried on the user. Once an obstruction is detected, the sensors (4, 6, 8) may transmit signals to the central control device (2). The central control device (2) may process the signals and activate an appropriate auditory device (82) to alert the user of the presence and/or distance of the obstruction.
